    I just got the basic Azula a couple of weeks ago. Absolutely love it. It is my new pocket knife. I don’t like carrying anything on my belt if I can avoid it so I chose the original rather than the Azula II in order to avoid the minimal increase in handle bulk from the II having scales while the original Izula doesn’t. It took about 15 or 20 minutes to Paracord wrap the handle (Instructions come with the knife), which I highly recommend. The rattle that he is showing at the end of the video is, I am sure, from the belt clip that comes with the knife which he has attached to the sheath. Don’t attach the belt clip, and there is no rattle. The sheath holds the knife like a vise but you can slip it off easily with the push of your drawing hand thumb. How do they do that? Unlike apparently a lot of commentators I wear a suit to work every day. For this reason, I’ve carried a SOG Air model (now discontinued) for at least 20 years. It was called the Air model because it has the 3 inch blade that you could legally carry aboard an airplane. Yeah, that’s how old that model is. I love that knife so much I have three more that I purchased and have put back in case I lose this one (and the one after and the one after) as I did the first one that I bought. I am now pretty sure that none of those will ever be used, and the Azula has now taken the place of my pocket knife. In the kydex sheath that comes with it the knife and sheath simply disappear in your pocket if the spine of the knife side of the sheath is laid along the inside back edge of the pocket. Even with the suit on I don’t know it’s in my pocket. That’s amazing. The SOG would sometimes get sideways in the pocket and get in my way. So far this one doesn’t. I just ordered two for my 31 and 32 year-old daughters for Christmas for daily carry. In my opinion, every human should possess one or the other of these two Azula knives. Just buy one. This is my second Esse knife. The first was a Model PR-4. Love it too. The Model 5 is on the way. I want to compare it to my “beast” (British MOD knife). I don’t expect it to be quite as tough as that knife but I also don’t expect to have to use it to dig through brick walls as I once heard one British squadie describe having done to avoid entering a residence where the doors and windows ended up being rigged with explosives.

    • @CentralKyBushcraft
      @CentralKyBushcraft Месяц назад

      @@maxsparks5183 the Izula is a great knife indeed. The only difference between the Izula and the Izula II is the handle length. The Izula II is about a 1/2 inch longer than the Izula. And the Izula II comes with handle scales (which are easily removed). I love the ESEE brand and have yet to find a knife they make that I don’t like. That would definitely be an interesting comparison between the ESEE-5 and the British MOD-2. I’ll watch for that video. Thanks for watching

    The Pamel looks different than the original 337 case I hope they didn't copy ka-bar and screw up the tang , the original Case XX 337 is a lot tuffer than a Ka-bar
