Kracher 🎉
It's a damn good techno track! Respect, it reminds me of the good old days, when techno music was mainly underground.🔥 I too will be an owner of the TR-8s. Where did you learn to conjure up such awesome techno with it? Can you give future TR-8s a tip on their way to successful techno production? Peace, keep it up!❤🔥
that migros ice tea in the background is the best in the world
Splendid jam!
Nice flow
add some distorted guitar and vocals....and this will sound amazing !
@9:55 - smoooooooth
I just ordered my TR-8S as my B-day present (a month early). If I get wife-aggro, I'm sending her here. You're to blame. Cheers! :)
Built in sounds ??
Yes
Is it still good machine now or there are better machines to buy ?
At the moment i'm more on the MC707
@sylys1116 it's newer ? And standalone ?
Well that was humbling video for me and anyone else who thought they were pretty good with their TR-8S 😂 Amazing job - more creativity and variety there than Roland’s promotional vids.
It’s mind blowing if you think how many classics of different genres the 808/909 where used on. Will be interesting to see what the next gen does with this, I realise it’s not analogue but it’s getting harder to tell, and it has so many features the originals did not. Enjoyed your jam 👍 trying not to let it make me pull the trigger. Gunna wait till the used prices go down. Wonder if anyone will be paying 5 grand for one of these in 30 years time!!!
Very good, good talking drum machine... a fundamental piece of the four that are in the configuration of Disc Show Man... you need some electronic percussion, a good synthesizer keyboard and a good multi pad... Good luck and let's all go with joy ....
Excellent
Excellent
How do you keep the tr8s in sync with the bass station?
I dont. The BS only plays a steady tone, and the pumping effect is made with the sidechain on the input of the TR
🙏🧨🧨🧨
Really nice
Wow
very nice vibes , thx ♥
only one live set? realy?...
good shiiet ❤️
This rocks !! I wanna get myself a bass station II, and eventually a tr8-s and if this corker isn’t a sign..
@8:17 daaaaaaamn
really nice beat!
That's how it should sound
TOP 👌
Amazing! That sound that comes and goes, on the 7th track of your 8s! Love it! Is that a sample or one of the synthesized drums? I just ordered one and can’t wait to jam with it!
Excellent groove
Just got my TR8s today and learned so much by watching you perform. I now get how to use the delay and how you bring tracks in for a moment that catch the tail of the delay. Thats dope. I know the control knoweb is assignable. May I ask what function you assigned your control knob to on ride cymbal track? It seems like it's says depth of LPF when you turn that cntr knob. It creates such a powerful and hypnotic vibe. I love it dude. Thanks again for opening my eyes early on.
Hi Bob! Glad to see that my video helped you. It probably the LPF on that knob (dont forget to push up the resonance a bit to give more presence to the sound). Enjoy the new baby 🙂
@@sylys1116 right on. Thanks. And I know this sounds like a dumb question, but could a Moog Sub 37 be used the same way the Bass Station was used to sidechain the signal into the TR8s? I am not familiar with this technique or how it works. Thanks again.
@@director2bob sure ! Any synth will do the job.
Awesome bro
Great pacing and I love the use of the delays. Nice jam! 👍👍
Need a tutorial of this, please!!! To be honest, it sounds a bit like Massive Attack...
Amazing set! ❤️
I stopped counting how often i listend to this…thanks
nice
Are you using an external echo pedal/module on a selected output?
Nope
I’ve had a TR8s and Bass Station ii for a couple years to play for fun, but I’ve never been able to get them to properly sync. I have every cable imaginable (got frustrated and bought 2 of each and every one available at guitar center). How to I properly sync them with my monitor speakers?
Dang, that was good! :)
This is awesome! I keep coming back to this video, I love the subtle textures and the hypnotic rhythms you’ve made. I think I need a tr8s to accompany my BS2!
Same here. I love the bass tone and the intricate little textures that keep it moving forward. I have a Tr-8 but can see the 8s joining my arsenal in the very near future
Lovemusic Hateracism love this..👻💯❤️
Inspiring, inspiring, inspiring! Awesome sound! Q: how you sync your Novation? Does it automaticly sync with BPM of the TR?
Thx. In that case the BS is not in sync, it just play a solid note, and the pumping effect comes from the sidechain and gives the illusion of a note being played on the upbeat.
@@sylys1116 nice! TY for Answer cheers
@@sylys1116 so you're basically sidechaining that solid note bassline via ext in on the TR8S to the kick drum. Ive been trying to duplicate a good rolling bassline on the TR8S and proving difficult.
@@Blakespires The "solid note approach" brings you to fine tune the sidechain effect until you get the right groove. I also tried to make a rolling bassline (every 16th note, like psytrance) but the big issue is to start the pattern at the same time. I didnt succeed to do so, but I think the good way could be to use a computer to play the pattern via midi. Any idea would be welcome !
Couldn’t you just connect the two with a midi cable and sync the bs2 clock to the tr-8s?
Excellentissime
good live jam :) greetz:)
Very early John Digweedish. Love it!
watching you play the machine Is like playing a guitar. it takes finesse .
Nice Jam! the TR8S looks great
hey mais stylé l'ami!
;)
