If you are Put shares at $15, you can always sell Covered Calls at $15 for as long as the Stock hangs out below that price. You can get paid to wait for the next rise. The risk, of course, is that the Stock tanks, and you'll not receive any premium for it. But that's why you pick a Stock that you don't mind owning. Of course, you can get called away if the Stock rises above $15. But in that case, you go back to selling Puts again, essentially starting over. This is the Wheel Strategy.

Do you have to use Margin - for options? My etrade options automatically defaults to margin and when I make money it goes back into my margin account. End result my Margin account keeps growing but cash still stays the same. Is the money piling up in Margin and I am paying taxes on the sell transactions? Does that make any sense?

Thanks for posting. I sold my 1st covered calls of GameStop a few weeks ago. It didn’t meet the strike price, so next Friday the contracts expire and I get to keep the premium.
