Un genial harpo Marx interpreta de modo muy "sui generis" famosos minuets de Mozart y Beethoven.

Wacky! Wacky! Let's go! Free eats! Bring your friends!
Hello, Excuse my English but French is my mother language. I can only say he is a pure genius and it was a great moment of pleasure to hear this music and see this sequence. The Marx brothers were really great and complete artists. Best regards
Neither he nor Chico could read music. As a matter of fact, Harpo, who dropped out of elementary school, was illiterate.
Merci pour ce beau moment .
Oh, wow! Such a delicate yet overwhelming touch.
Truely the best music ever created he is the best artist in history
You can tell that the moment he gets behind a harp and starts plucking the strings the real man behind the talent comes forth. Such a talented man.
Wow!
I had a chance to buy a harp for $20 but I did not know how to glue it back together. It wasn't broken. The glue had just come undone. Darn fool.
A true performer with brilliance and style. Harpo lives forever in heaven and our hearts. I life he was as gentle as his character, and could play many instruments simply by tapping his knowledge of music.
I believe he is indeed actually playing all of those instruments 😊 Genius. I read he could play almost any instrument.
Uilleann pipes?
I did not know Harpo was left-handed (assuming that is he playing violin and cello in this clip). Whoever was playing violin would have to have had a special violin made with the chin-rest on the left side to accommodate a left-handed violinist - a rarity in the 1940's when left-handedness was frowned upon as "sinister." I have read that Harpo could play six instruments; in the Marx Brothers' various movies; he plays harp, piano, clarinet (once in Cocoanuts), and penny whistle (once in At the Circus). Maybe violin and cello were the other two instruments. Combined with his pantomime comic skills, Harpo may have been the most talented performer in cinematic history.
Harpo was a Simply Amazing Musician. The entire set and scene stopped when he started playing!!
The man is magical. Cheers from Detroit 🇺🇲
Потрясающе одарённых человек! Восхищаюсь его комедийным талантом
А Мурку на арфе сыграть? 😂🤣
He was so GOOD!
♥️♥️
nice looking children. Part of the shtick which added to the humor was the thick lower east side jewish slang and accents. And YES i remember it well as when I was young many still had it. easily trained to change but they would not have been themselves without it Part of the local cultural color of old NYC for us WASPS and others. They were wonderful and not a questionable word passed their mouths.
What film is it? thank you.
And all said, for Chico and Harpo, being very high quality entertaining musicians, was just a side hussle to being world famously funny.

Listening to his music makes you tear up. I wish there were more musicians who played the harp. It’s very versatile. We now have therimins
Harps are still very popular in Austrian and Bavarian folk music. If you search RUclips for "austria folk music harp" you will find several videos, and then once you get into it, the algorithm will keep you well supplied.
@@clarencegreen3071 Thank you.I had the opportunity to hear a harp in a blues band years ago. Impressive
In his autobiography, he wrote that he felt rather ashamed of this technique during the movie part of this life as he later learned how to properly play the harp.
I'd forgotten how good they are

That first song he played sounded a little like fluff by black sabbath
Imagining him on a Gibson Les Paul shredding
Simply Amazing !
Virtuoso
They just make me so happy. 😊
Which movie was this from? The Big Store?
Hmm, seems 73 people have no class. 🤷♀️ Oh well. 💜 Harpo always.
heavenly
According to his daughter he taught himself to play the harp! And was such an accomplished harpist
The book, Minnie's Boys, talks about Chico getting piano lessons and there was only money enough for one. Harpo taught himself to play piano and harp. Excellent book, probably out of print. It was quite thick and our public library kept for years. I read it many times and wish I owned it.
@@denicesanders4586 such talented brothers and accomplished musicians. !
Harpo was a magical kind of person. He loved life and his family. The world lost a wonderful human being the day Harpo died. Harpo is my favorite of the Marx brothers. I love them all, but Harpo was amazing
Could hrpo talk
He could talk but didn't like the sound of his voice for films so decided to be a mime.
I agree, Harpo was a wonderful man and an amazing talent.
I recall that his son Bill had said that Harpo had a New York accent. For instance, Harpo pronounced "turkey" as "takey".
Which movie is this from?
Harpo mon préféré 😍😍😍😘
Harpo, God's gift to humanity~
thank G-d he was not in Germany during the holocaust! who knows how many died who were like him.....
Brilliant CGI work ;- )
My favorite Marx brother and my favorite all time comedian!
My daughter is a harpist and her first harp teacher was instructed by a lady who once got the opportunity to play with Harpo.
Awesome!
So, reading your comment, I am four times removed from Harpo and still impressed.
Harpo was never accepted by trained harpists because he was self taught. His mother sent him his first harp because she knew he could play it. They sniggered at his technique and called him amateurish. He took harp lessons as an older man to improve his playing and never gave it up.
I love this scene from The Big Store...In the words of Groucho Marx, 'You've got to sing while you sell...'
BravO! Bravo!
Don’t make em like this any more and no studio system to promote this talent.
Suberb acting whitout words.🙂
ALWAYS my favorite harpist(after King David of course)!!!!
