Life as a viking chicken
I record my life as a viking during my student/work exchange period in Norway. One of my duties is looking after the villages chickens. Here's an alternative view of the viking life.

EDIT: you might have noticed that I didn't keep my promise with updating this thing weekly... :) Sorry. I record my life as a viking during my student/work exchange period in Norway. Sadly I had some dirt on the lens of my camera during the filming of this first episode but will fix that next time :)

Gudvangen, the home of Georg Hansen.
☺😀😯😮😷
It's hard to be a Viking, yes, yes yes!
It's fun to remember how the village looked in the first year! It's changed so much since then and we have more to do. :) Come back soon!
Hello I have some questions?
Yhtään suomalaisia?
And fascinating!9
Would be awesome to kind of live like a Viking or the way other ancients did Minus the slavery and with modern amenities (electricity, plumbing and reliable wifi lol) a
Same. Would love to live in a turf house or one with a sod roof. Wood stove and plenty of yarn for knitting, and leather for bag making.
What's with the "KAFE" sign near the entrance?
It's a sign for the cafe that's open there in the summer :)
Nordic international slave trade co?
Hi! That's a bit of an inside joke at Njardarheimr. Vikings had slaves and took part in global slave trade so it's important to bring that side up as well when discussing Vikings.
What are the roof coverings?
Grass
Grass and other wild plants that are allowed to grow as they like. This type of roofs are great for insulation and feeding animals among other things!
Where is their shitter? Do they shit in Buckets and trow it on the street? Would be realistic tho 😂
They have a couple modern toilets hidden ;) most of them have Been completed just this summer.
@@emmariski haha thx
@@emmariski haha

The dog is cute!
I love your accent. My husbands family came from Finland, but his accent was different from yours because his family came from a more rural background. He'd describe you as "cute."
Aww :) I've lost my super finnish rally-accent after studying english too much 😅
Woooooah, amazing!!!
I want to live there.
thanks for sharing.
