Deep Root Fertilization: See It In Action!
Просмотров 1,5 тыс.4 года назад
This special fertilization process involves using pressure to "inject" fertilizer deep into the soil in the root zone of trees and shrubs where it can be most readily taken up by the plant. It's done with a special tool that's pushed into the ground. That's attached to a pressurized hose that pushes the liquid fertilizer from the tank on our truck, through the injector, and into the ground. It ...

Chestnut blight was brought from Europe? Not sure if that is that an accurate statement. Many sources say it came from the other direction from growers trying to increase production.

I bought a bag of chinese chestnuts from a shop (already shelled). Tried cooking them in the oven and then in the small wok we've used to successfully cook regular chestnuts. Both ways I ended up with something unpleasantly hard and bitter. Nasty tasting. Nothing like regular chestnuts. What am I doing wrong? Them lacking the shells is a problem for cooking them in the pan. Maybe I need to try boiling or steaming.

I'm close to New Hope Bucks County I'm in Warminster and I can't believe that sycamore trees can photosynthesize through their tree bark I have a sycamore where I live and it is huge and I've noticed the same thing in May that it looks like it's dying off but I also read that they can re-leaf later in spring and summer due to an early spring chill

I have a copper beech tree that was planted near my front entry some 30+ years ago, with it's trunk now only 5' from an area of our cement house foundation. Is this too close, so that if I leave it there would be a high probability of it damaging the foundation? It has recently been noted to be lifting the entryway cement up to the front door. It appears to me that I need to get it taken out. What would your opinion be here? I have had two professionals already agree with me, but don't really want to do it because of the upheaval and expense. I value your insight... The tree is very large...

Lucky you to have two trees on your property. I've been foraging from two I found planted at an old cemetery. The tree canopies are so huge and they produce so much. Judging from the graves around them I think the trees are at least a century old if not older. I love chestnut harvest time!

It’s worth mentioning that if you’re planting a chestnut tree for the nuts, you’ll need at least two trees as they are not self-fertile and require another chestnut close by to pollinate it.

Hi, If I sent you $20 and a picture of our Copper Beech, could you send us an educated guess on a remedy? We planted it 3 years ago during a dry summer in very well-drained soil. It has struggled ever since.

I didn't know about the V vs U. For an inexperienced gardener, what's an easy way to tell? If I didn't have a reference it would be hard for me to distinguish a V vs U. Do U's have 3 limbs?
