It would be Neat if you could tell us the original history of the S-10 and where it came from .That was my first truck when I was 16 a truck just like that with a 383 stroker and a tunnel ram and two four barrels .... It was way to much fuel haha hauled so much ass though .. that was when you had to make the 350 fit into the S-10s . TheTruck is so Beautiful and coming along so great good job guys 💪🤾🇺🇲🤠

4.5 power valve. 74/81 jets, no back power valve ..be my starting point..38-40 deg timming..lock distributor..or a fast curve..if not locked..that things wants timming...that's why it run hot..no timming....

Hey I had a question so when you run race gas in that truck would that make a difference in the way that the fuel range gauge would go up or down because the gas might be a little bit colder I mean

I'd look for a new carb. ATM carbs are nice. Sounds like once you guys get the carb dialed in it be a pretty fast ride. 💯👍👍👍

Those metering blocks have adjustment screws on them to make the idle aft change. Normally you bottom them out and then turn them counterclockwise 1 turn and that should help. I would double check that too

Look at them plugs that’ll tell you the reality and what each cylinder is doing af gauge is secondary 👍🏻

You need a 5” alternator pulley to slow down and stop rolling over the belt 😊

Kinda just started watching but love it I’ve been working on mine for 4 years just trying to get a stock 350 in it. Watching yall has helped me with just slowing down and doing one step at a time.

I think the mounts were possible the 4x4 version that moves the engine over to clear the front differential and driveshaft. I got the 2 wheel drive ones because mine is solid axle converted. I’m building a 383 and got the 1 3/4 tube headman’s.

if you're trying to fattn up the mid range you need an adjustable secondary linkage for the 4150 series Holley carburetor. look it up. also will make the pedal really snappy on throttle response. this will help with alot of your issues brother. y'all got me lmfao!!!

With no more vacuum then that you’d need a 2.5 power valve. Y’all might consider blocking off both power valves and square jetting starting at 74’s on all 4 corners. Just a thought. It makes it a lot easier to jet as well because all 4 stay the same. Years ago I had an old circle track motor that made about the same.
