Also who is the guy in red robes??
We need subtitles! An also, excellent work bros! Better than the Acolyte or any related thing.
Wow having a guy who’s worked on the franchise games to later work the movie adaptations is something I rarely hear about. No wonder why these movies look great, especially compare to other game movies. Wish we could see more passionate game movies like these. Best game adaptation for me: Halo 4 forward onto dawn dvd movie. Worse: Alone in the dark film or any made by Uwe Boll.
I don’t like to Judge without seeing something play out. I like RDJ so I will just sit back and watch and hopefully, enjoy it.
I was already excited for this. The trailer has me somehow more excited!
@@SirArtanis7 Same here! I know most people were all pumped for the Deadpool movie, but I grew up loving the Sonic games and wishing they would make Somic movies when I was a youngling. So this trailer brought back my childhood excitement. As silly as it may sound this has been the movie I'm most looking forward to all year out of sheer nostalgia.

The trailer was wizard
@@ecentral7512 Yes indeed! It looks like Shadow is going to be a Force to be reckoned with!

@@the_flyattractor8656 Yeah we're trying to conserve space gas to get better mileage out of the old girl! I really enjoy the Street Fighter movie, Raul Julia was great as M. Bison, maybe not accurate... but great! Funny you should mention Street Fighter though... because this Sonic trailer was released on Tuesday.
Trailer was great
@@cybersonic8472 I loved it! Can't wait to see this one on the big screen!
@VaderReviews I just hope Shadow fans except it, they seem less flexible to changes to his backstory or personality than any other character in Sonic franchise
@@cybersonic8472 I am curious how close to the game story they'll stay. For some reason I have this feeling in the back of my head that they MIGHT change the situation with Maria slightly. I kinda wonder if she'll just be injured and kept in stasis. And finding her alive will snap Shadow out of his vengeful mission.
So excited for this movie
The other Sonic films have been great, and this one looks like its going to be the best one yet!
Looking forward to seeing the Ultimate Lifeform socking Sonic here and there.
Me too my friend! I really hope they use some music from Sonic Adventure & the Shadow game in the movie. At the very least I'm sure we'll get some cool edits once the movie comes out on dvd.
Finally another movie we can be excited for! I can't wait till this movie comes out! Thank you again for the shout out Lord Vader :)
And thank you for your support! It is greatly appreciated!! And yes it is great to finally have a movie worth getting excited over. These Sonic films just keep getting better as the series goes on. So I can't wait to see what the do with Shadow!
@@VaderReviews you're most welcome 😁 Oh I know I'm excited to see what they're going to do with shadow too! Now what I didn't know is Keanu Reeves is going to be voicing him! That's even better! I'm quite thankful it's Keanu because I thought they were going to cast somebody like Chris Pratt or something.
@@EdellaFinSonaan95 Keanu's whispery line delivery will work really good for Shadow I think. From the trailer he sounds like he's gonna bring some good pathos to the role. I think its really cool that Jeff Fowler got his start animating Shadow all those years ago and now is directing the Sonic movies.
Got nothing against Keanu, but i think Hayden could've pulled off as Shadow
It would have been really cool to see Hayden as Shadow I agree General!
He would have been interesting. But I but like it regardless because it always surprises me to see Reeves playing jerky characters.
@@nathansteinfromarkham7109 Keanu was always my top choice as far as regular actors go. So I'm happy as a space clam.
@@VaderReviews I remember when they announced he was cast and was laughing because after the second film was released some people were claiming Keanu was already cast. I think he'll do a good job, mainly because I loved his Johnny Silverhand performance.
@@nathansteinfromarkham7109 I honestly wonder if they wanted him from the beginning, because they dropped Keanu references is both Sonic films. I'm curious if Shadow will use any guns in the movie like the games, or if he'll be strictly a hand to hand fighter.

Good video sir, I think you nailed most of the same complaints I have with the trailer pretty well. Also completely agree about timeless messages over relevant ones. I enjoyed all six live action movies and was excited when I heard this was first announced. But after watching the trailer myself and what bits I saw of Rings of power online, I'm feeling very skeptical about the film. Not looking forward to seeing another overpowered warrior woman saves the day with no effort or respect for the source material type film again. Hope the actual film is better then what they presented here.
Thank you for checking out the video, I appreciate it! Its strange to me that they are trying to inject current issues into this story, because Peter Jackson said they were VERY careful not to do that with the Original LOTR film because he felt it was a disservice to Tolkien's world. So I don't know what the new creative team are thinking. Like you I'm hoping maybe this was just a bad trailer, and that the final film will still be good.
Good day Lord Vader, sorry for the late comment, Ill be adding centurions to the list of 80s cartoons I like to watch since most of them were before my time as a kid. Still the few that I have seen on vhs or reruns on tv still appeal very much to me. So I look forward on seeing what I missed out on. Also thanks for the heads up on Gargoyles cartoon by the way.
I'm glad I was able to bring another classic cartoon show to your attention my friend! The funny thing is this series ended the day before I was born, so I only saw it on re-runs myself. But it was still one of my favorites as a kid! There was something about those old 80s cartoons, they had a special charm to them for sure!
I'm so sorry lord Vader if you went up against that pathetic excuse of a grandson for real you'd bury him
Thank you, this was pretty hard to watch 😉

@@TornadolabDenny The Empire greets you!! I'm glad you enjoy the videos, I really appreciate the positive comments! They're very encouraging!
Oh dear Morgoth, I laughed so hard when you showed the Ralph Baskhi LOTR animated clip. I hoped warehouse wild thing reject Balrog makws a comeback. As for the film, I do have mixed feelings on the movie as well based on the trailer. Especially since it focuses on an unknown side character. When Helm Hammerhead should obviously have been the main character. As he was the focus of that storyline in the appendices. I hope to be surprised by the final product. But we'll see. I really love the look and atmosphere of the film. ai hope the film's score is goos. I am hoping that even if the film isn't that good when it comes to the storyline. That the Andy Serkis directed Hunt for Gollum film will make up for it. We'll see
I'm glad I could give you a laugh with that my friend! I don't know what they were thinking with that version of Sam! Or the Balrog for that matter. I was disappointed that it wasn't about Hammerhand like they originally said it was going to be. They've completely made up this Hera character since she isn't even named I the original story. So it concerns me that she'll just feel like fan fiction. But time will only tell. The look and atmosphere is great, and it was wizard seeing the different creatures from Middle Earth. I wasn't expecting that, so it was a nice surprise! The action is animated really well too. As for the music, the guy who wrote the Misty Mountains song for the Dwarves in the Hobbit is scoring this. So I have a feeling the score will be good! I'm hoping WB won't get cold feet about Andy's Gollum film if this one doesn't do well at the box office. The trailer for Rohirrim didn't make much of a splash on the interwebs unfortunately. It hasn't been great for my view count either talking about it honestly.
I agree with you on all points. As for WB getting cold feet for the Gollum film. I hope that isn't the case. The Middle Earth film franchise being cut short because War of the Rohirrim might not make the impact it needs to make. Would be very unfair to the LOTR movie fans. The setting has so much potential for adaptations. Especially when accounting for the vast history of the setting, with great characterd and storylines across the First, Second, and Third Ages. (Please don't bring up Rings of Power. The faster that show is forgotten, the better, lol.) The potential for a new successful movie franchise is there. We just need new and great content to justify its existence.
@@thedarklord8388I definitely want as many Middle Earth films as we can get! And I'm very interested in the Gollum movie, I'm hoping since it's live action Howard Shore will come back to score it! And you're right, there are so many great tales to tell. Hopefully we'll get to see them!
If there's an option to play a game or watch a Japanese movie with Japanese voice overs or English dubbing, I always go for the Japanese voice overs. I don't know what we're doing with dubbing over here, but Japanese voice overs are almost always better. Granted, there are a couple of games were cheesy dubbing is part of the charm, but otherwise for good acting, Japanese voice overs are the way to go. It's been years since I've seen Lord of the Rings (Extended Editions, of course), but the trailer for War of the Rohirrim looked good... for the first half of the trailer. The second half I started to wonder if it's going to be like every other movie that's come out in the past few years. It could just be the way the trailer is edited, so I'm hoping the final product lives up to Tolkien. Anyway, here's a comment and a like to help with the algorithm. And some ad viewing for that ad revenue.
@@JanelleWaz I think he difference might be the Japanese voice actors just act. Western voice actors get caught up with all this "My face isn't on camera so I have to get more out of just my voice" so it can sound stilted and overcooked you know? Sometimes a super cheesy dub is fun though I agree 100% 😆 But yeah, I'm hoping the next trailer will show more of the characters and the world. Because I did like the ton of the Japanese trailer better. So here's hoping it's just bad marketing on WB's part! And thank you VERY much for the view, comments, likes and letting the adds play! You're a life saver and I greatly appreciate it!
I dunno Lord Vader I have a bad feeling about this. 🍻
I definitely feel a great disturbance in the Force as well.
Even in the original tale, Helm rejects Freca's proposal out-of-hand. His daughter's feelings about it aren't even relevant. FYI: Miranda Otto is also voicing a second role: Olwyn, a handmaiden to Hera. And it seems that Dominic "Merry" Monaghan has been cast in a small role as well.
Interesting, I didn't know she was voicing two characters in the film! I had heard about Dominic Monaghan. I hope the next trailer gets me more hyped for the film.
@@VaderReviews It is thought (but not 100% confirmed) that Dominic is voicing an Orc named Rot/Lot who is the figure at the end of the trailer with the pouch of rings.
@@otaku-sempai2197That would be really interesting if he is voicing an Orc this time around!
Welp, what can you say, except...'Spear shall be shaken, shield shall be splintered, a sword-day, a red day, ere the sun rises! Ride now, ride now, ride! Ride for ruin and the world's ending!'...
I just hope it's not the franchises ending if this underperforms! You know how flighty they are at WB, the cancle all kinds of stuff. Andy better get his Gollum movie made in a hurry!!
Nothing to do now but wait to see it for ourselves.
Very true, I'm sure they'll probably put out another trailer in November or so once we get closer. I wonder if it will have a different tone due to the overall negative response this one got. Unfortunately not many people liked it, and basically no one is even talking about it.
We can call it ,Not another girl boss movie😂
@@comicsgatekeeper9746 I'm hoping it's just bad marketing for the English trailer. Because the Japanese trailer looks better. Time will only tell, I'll give it an honest review once it comes out.
I want to hope, but I've been jaded by Rings of Power. I like the anime style, but I'm not looking forward to Hera. I fear the p.c. message will be heavy-handed and will distract from what could be an intriguing tale. I'm glad they're trying something new with the animation style, but would have rather seen a movie with Helm Hammerhand as the main character and kept the side characters as they were. Ah well, I hope the movie exceeds my expectations for it! Thank you for another great review, my lord! 😊
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! ^_^ I will admit I was incredibly disappointed with the trailer the first time I watched it. I am a bit worried about the Hera character myself. But even more so because of the way they've baited and switched with a lot of the things they've said in interviews. "We're telling the story of Helm Hammerhand" Hera is the protagonist "Phillipa Boyens is writing this film" Her daughter Pheobe is actually ( Kinda like how Lawrence Kasdan's son wrote Solo ) "We're making sure Hera isn't a 'Warrior Princess" She fights all through the trailer. So yeah, I'm having a hard time trusting the marketing department on this one. Hopefully it ends up being good, time will tell!
After many many years on the entertainment roller-coaster of fandoms...I have learned the hard earned but very valuable lesson of NOT GOING IN WITH HOPES SET TO HIGH!!! Ride Low to the road...
It is a sad state of affairs to be sure, but when you go in without getting super hyped you won't be disappointed. I know there will be some impressive animation at the very least!
@@VaderReviews It has been said it is better to start climbing the mountain at the bottom then at the top.
@@the_flyattractor8656 I do miss really being hyped about movies. Hopefully some studio shake up will happen one day. And we'll get cool movies in the future.

I had a Centurion figure as a kid ;) Can't remember which guy tho...The blue one maybe? Anyway, those were cool toys and good memories. Being a child of the 80s myself, I can verifiably say...The 80s Rulz! ;)
@@micahm9274 Yeah, 80s and 90s shows always had great toy lines! I didn't have any Centurions, but I had a lot of G.I. Joes and TMNT figures. I even had a couple 12 inch Joes.

I for one LOVE 80's cartoons too
You have EXCELLENT taste!
Wow I've never heard of centurions. That looks like a really cool cartoon. If I could ever find the cartoon, I'd definitely give it a watch. My mom introduced me and my siblings to the teenage mutant Ninja turtles. She used to have a pretty big collection teenage mutant Ninja turtles figures, cards, and I think even stuffed animals from that franchise. I'm building a little collection myself of the teenage mutant Ninja turtles.
Its a pretty fun show, its on the corny side like the classic G.I.Joe series. But if you like those old action shows like that I think you might like it. The TMNT series from 1987 is GREAT! I had a big collection of Turtle figures back when the show was first airing. Unfortunately I don't have any of my original Turtle figures anymore.
@@VaderReviews 1980s TV shows and movies were corny back then. But corny was funny. Nowadays not so much.
@@EdellaFinSonaan95 A little cheese is a good thing 😁especially when it comes to cartoon shows.
@@VaderReviews I totally agree 😊
Centurions is a old toon that could stand a Modern Revamp. (Just don't do the toys in the stupid 6 inch size!!) Granted if they could DO IT RIGHT! Didn't grow up with this one, never on in my area, but caught it on Cartoon Network later. Pretty Good Stuff! Jack Kirby was always good at his stuff! And Doc Terror was a cool and underrated 80s baddie!
I completely agree my friend! I'd even love to see a live action film version ( provided it was handled right which puts this squarely in the realm of fantasy haha ) I saw this show on Cartoon Network as well, the series original run went off the air two days before I was born! The comic book designs really sold me on this series when I was younger. And I loved all of the action and explosions. Pretty wizard indeed! I'd probably cast Josh Brolin as Doc Terror if I could get my live action Centurions dream cast!

But yeah, I didn't see any of the "big shows" until we moved into a rental house here the Cable Company forgot to cut off the TV. We called to tell them, but they didn't care. So we had like two years of Free Cable until they suddenly got around to cutting us off.

Used to love the Gargoyles, I should probably find a Blu-ray or DVD of it or something. though the way things are going with more "Modern" tech, maybe I need to find the VHS and Rip them to Digital or something. I actually didn't realize that Johnny Bravo was a part of this. He's got an amazing voice, Oh Momma! I actually didn't know that he had a following in India that resulted in an Indian movie! thing that would be worth a watch!
You might be able to find the series on Amazon, Ebay, or maybe even Etsy. ( Some people sell DVD sets on there, in fact there's a guy selling Jonny Bravo and I might get it once I save up some cash ) But yeah I was really surprised when I found out Jeff Bennet voiced both Kyle Katarn AND Jonny Bravo!! Pretty crazy!
"Sensationalism has _always_ been a _lazy_ alternative to good writing." I think so, too. Time was, you tuned in to each new episode because the previous one was a pleasant viewing experience that left you hoping for _another._ Now, it's like you tune in to each new episode because the previous one ended on a _cliffhanger_ and you want to know what's _next._
You hit the nail on the head! The cliffhanger and "Mystery Box" style of storytelling is making TV shows far less enjoyable to watch. As much as this will make me sound like an old geezer to say, back in the old days you kinda knew what to expect from your favorite shows. These days you have to wait a whole season to find out if you're even interested in the story they're trying to tell. Because it all hinges on some "BIG REVEAL" in the final two episodes.
Good day lord Vader, I haven’t seen too much of this show when I was younger but I’ve watched a lot of Batman back then. Also I’m something of a Keith David fan from the john Carpenter films and The Halo video games so this show should be up my alley. I miss having shows like these back in the day. Also some of my old favorite cartoons were Scooby, Tmnt, Dragon hunters, Tom and Jerry, and Spiderman.
The Empire greets you! If you like serialized story telling, I think you might enjoy this show. Because it tells a big interlinking storyline. It isn't episodic. So if you jump in the middle you won't quite know what's going on. Keith David does an amazing job as Goliath in this series. His voice carries the show in my opinion. I miss this era of Cartoons as well!
Interesting video lord Vader, It’s sounds like part of the problem might be that every tv show is trying to be a small screen movie divided up instead of just being a show but I could be wrong. As the violence I personally enjoy when used in storytelling like in primal and punisher. But I also don’t think every show has to be like that and you can have some deep themes without having to go too far. Case in point: Justice league. Personally it depends on the story. As for reviewing old action cartoons, please do so.
Greetings my friend! I couldn't agree more, Book of Boba, and the Kenobi series both felt like they were film scripts that they tried to squeeze a show out of. So in the end it felt messy and dragged out. I enjoyed the first season of Primal, even though it was a bit over the top with the violence.
Better than most anything Disney has made. Story is much better than The Last Jedi or Rise of Skywalker.
@@JumpingJack6 Thanks for taking the time to watch our film! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I hope he had gieco when he lostchis Druid and what’s with these weak a$$ ships they shave be in X wings X wings are one of the smaller craft that can jump light speed tie fighters cannot
@@tank21575 This story takes place between Episode 3 and 4, the Incom T-65 X-Wing Fighter hasn't been invented yet. The Jedi on the run at the beginning are using old Clone Wars era vehicles because it's all they have access to. At this point in the time-line the TIE Fighter is the "new kid in the block" as far as spaceships go.
Love my some G1 Transformers animation action!
My buddy Micha was really into Transformers as a kid too!
Ah yes, the 90s...when the words 'competition' and 'capitalism' were not yet considered dirty words... You realize tho that doing this video may indeed inspire the Mouse to...ahem...'adapt' yet another of its classic library of old animated properties into a terrible 'live-action' (aka totally CGI) reboot? I feel a disturbance...😉
They're way ahead of you, they announced a while ago they are planning to try and make a live action Gargoyles series for Disney+ so we'll just have to wait and see how it goes.
@@VaderReviews Of course..lol
The Gargoyles show being as good as it is a huge testament to how talented Greg Weissmen and his team of writers were. It's that same talent that made the Spectacular Spider-Man series as great as it was. Reinventing the mythology of the comic books to tell the best story possible with a truly definitive Spider-Man that was not limited by the 2 hour runtime of his movie counterparts. Hell yes, Jeff Bennett is great. I love the shoutout to Kyle Katarn, the Chuck Norris of Star Wars. He is the death sentence in ALL SYSTEMS after all. I love how Gargoyles universe nails that right combination of comic bookey grand continuity driven story telling but also being a love letter to mythology and Shakespeare. Even being more faithful to those myths and the history of those plays than a lot of their well known film adaptations. The Odin episode being a particular favorite of mine when it comes to mythological accuracy and one of the most faithful depicitions of Odin in the visual medium. I know there are a lot of comparisons to this show and BTAS. I always saw them as too fundamentally different to be comparable. BTAS was more about trying to create a believable yet somewhat hyper reality Sci-fi world. While Gargoyles is more fantasy with some sci-fi elements added in. If I were to compare both shows, I do prefer how Gargoyles emphasizes more serializing continuity driven storytelling, as well as having more consistently good animation. At least for the earlier seasons. I prefer the serialized approach to TV in general, compared to other shows where the episodes are more self contained. As for BTAS, I think the cast is overall more consistently well written, even the side characters. And having more memorable villains. When you say cartoons of this era, I feel ya. Animation fans keep talking about how great the Disney Renaissance was when they talk about the 90s. When I think of the 90s and the 2000s in terms of animation, I think about how we grew up in the golden age of TV animation like you said in the video. When the storylines were of higher quality, and not just overglorified action set pieces like a lot of the 80s cartoons. The animation was usually better. And there was a lot more experimental content as well. The bar for action cartoons especially were raised. Especially as Western studios were trying to make their content standout to their anime competition in the East. What was especially great is that a lot of those cartoons weren't even under the Marvel or DC label but created a comic book superhero like mythology of their own. Gargoyles, Ben 10, Samurai Jack, and Powerpuff Girls. Thanks for drawing attention to the very underrated Gargoyles show. And to answer your question. My favorite cartoon series growing up would still the Justice League/Unlimited Animated series. Made by the same team as BTAS, when they decided to switch to more serialized storytelling. A well written show that was way ahead of its time.
Justice League Unlimited was SUCH a great show! Honestly all of the DC shows from BTAS to Batman Beyond were great. I'd even put the OG Teen Titans in the list as well even though it had a slightly different vibe with the Anime/Comedic influence. And I agree 100% about how those old shows had so much depth to the stories. Its crazy to me that these shows knew how to tell such great stories in a half hour time limit. But the Mandalorian Season three was SO boring! They wasted so much time on that show just having Mando walk around. I'm sorry it took me so long to respond, this was an incredibly busy week for me! But yeah Kyle Katarn is one of my favorite old EU characters. Him and Dash Render are where its at for me personally. Jeff Bennet is such a versatile voice actor. I would have never thought he was Jonny Bravo if I hadn't looked it up! Not to rag on modern animation too much, but I think in the 90s there was more passion in the story telling. My theory is there were a lot of would be film makers who cut their teeth n Animation. So they're cartoons were as cinematic as they possibly could be. Just my guess.
@@VaderReviews To be fair, the OG Teen Titans team and the JLU team did work in the same building at the same time. Artists and writers on both shows would collaborate every once in a while. Samurai Jack is a great example of pacing done well. It makes excellent use of its 22 minute runtime in a way that none of the episodes feel long or boring. Jeff Bennet is the man, I laughed so hard at his Johnny Bravo character when I watched that show as a kid. The guy has a lot of range. Responding to your animation comment. Gennedy Tartaskosky especially championed more cinematic animation looking animation. Live action filmmakers could learn a lot from his shows, Samurai Jack and Primal in particular. The way the fights were shot, the lighting, the pacing, the use of slow motion and much more. No worries about the delay in your comment. I am sure you're a very busy Sith Lord. Good luck with your future videos.
