Photogrammetry of an ancient oak found in the Bradgate Park, Leicester.
To recreate the 3D Model of this amazing tree I took about 350 photographs with an iphone 12 pro max and then I processed the data into Reality Capture software.

It is free for visualizing purposes but if you want to export the 3D Model you'll have to pay.

Sadly no matter what I try I cant get Meshroom to work. It will open and start and Hang up instantly. I gave up on this crap.

Hi George and thanks for the appreciation. In the beggining of the video I show that the pictures are being taken setting the drone to take pictures every 5 seconds. But now there are a few apps that take automatic photographs for you in order to create better quality maps or 3D Models. Hope it helps.

Very nice job! I have used DroneLink for my mission to fly our community Equine saddle club. I am processing photos with MeshRoom. Did you have to set anything for the Mini2 camera specs in the MeshRoom camera dataBase? I had several photos that could not be use? Thanks
Hi Gary and thanks, unfortunately it was the first and the last time I used MeshRoom so I don’t remember much as it’s been a while since I made this tutorial. Now I’m using Reality Capture mostly as it’s much faster. Sorry I couldn’t help.

@@iulianpraz where I live there's 56 golf courses in my county. Lots of waterfront properties and yachts. Before drones I rented helicopters to Ariel photograph waterfront properties using 35 mm film cameras and sometimes medium format film. Later the Realtors ask me to do some golf courses as well. Also lots of condominium buildings on the beach. The helicopter (Robinson R-22) used to cost $6 every 10 minute to rent. And the film had to be developed so I didn't even know what I had until I got it back from the developer.

You need to talk to yacht brokers and home realtors. Luxury yachts, sailboats and high-end homes Could use this technology for virtual sales. You can use a 360 camera along with the mapping program to create virtual tour of the inside of the homes and yachts. Just do a couple freebies for proof-of-concept/portfolio. 👍

Hi Bill, on their website says $3499 for the Professional Edition and then the updates are free of change so this leads me to the conclusion that it's a permanent purchase. Maybe I'm wrong but that's what I understood.
