Overwhelming new Potemkin otg setup
2K 2D gives you everything. The key is to HFB close enough to do 2k then HFB again. It enables enough plus frames for a counter CS.

Delay cancelling into bite. Guard crush removes throw protection. So it beats 3F move. 2H baits DP

There are different routes for different applications. I recommend doing the charged flick [2s 2h] version. Easy and high-damage

Now Pot can do what the other cast already have access to the full stage corner to corner combo starting from cs We only have counter 6h can do it in the past, but it is nearly impossible to get it in a real matchup

I'm not a glue sniffer player but my friend is. See this is very refreshing because only do one thing; Hammerfall-cancel- PotBust, and I don't know how to counter it 😢

I feel like I'm missing something about combo #1 (00:00), is there a reason to do this over c.S > 2S > 2H > HK that I'm missing? It seems like it gets the same carry with about the same damage with an easier input (imo). Is it that it can be routed into the oki version if needed?
Yes, and 2H will not hit if cS starts far, plus that is an old and well-known route

How do you cancel hammerfall into GK for a combo? I'm having issues understanding the trick
input GK while doing HF, then end HS and P at the same time. Check my input on the left of video
Not guaranteed. You can just FD or IBFD the 6p.

What are you doing different between 3. and 4. that's getting the cS to whiff on one but OTG on the other?
You can only cS otg when close engough. Whiffing cS can bait opponent to mash and then get PB

How do you do the hammer fall brake so quickly? I feel like I can never get it to come out and always 6H
1. always hold 1 or 4 after any moves 2. get used to the special cancel window of each move 3. practicing
Does potbuster on wakeup (0:03) land? If no, then is there a way to land it? Cuz as i see it, nobody's mashing on wakeup against pot rn

This makes me sad. They took everything that made Potemkin in strive unique and just made his combos look more like pot in XX and XRD which I don’t like
All of the good stuff he got was literally just trying to compensate for the huge L he took from losing his kara options

do you know how tight this tech is? i can only seem to get it like 1 in 10 tries
the key is to keep charging all the time. The second tip is in the description. I can do it 9 in 10.
Now people are realizing how easier Karas was. Now pot players gotta learn how to hammerfall break on all they combos like in xrd. I thought I escaped from that but here we are again after 4 yrs in strive 😂
The biggest tip for charge characters is to always be charging in specific scenarios. In these set ups you should be immediately charging another hammerfall during your hammerfall.

This patch feels like it was directed directly at me, telling to clean up my inputs and learn real combos. I will say their reasoning to remove karas as a barrier to entry quickly falls apart when you realize HFB is pretty damn close to a plink anyway. But what do I know -150hr floor 9 pot main
It's not a plink, but pot still has plenty of mechanical depth as shown in the video
This is literally X to XRD pressure in the old game. Pot just went back to his root. Now, if we got Vacuum 2S back and HK left you RIGHT NEXT to Pot, that would be awesome.
Too bad HK Extend is the default move now, I don't think there was even HK without Extend in this game at any point. Vacuum 2S would go so hard, though.
@@SyRose901 Man, tick throw setup would be CRAZY with Vacuum 2S. Not only that but combo would be much much easier.
@@zhaoyun255 Vacuums 2S into HFB sounds like the start of something loopable lmfao it already goes really hard in +R, especially them character specific Pot Buster pickups with f.S 2S HK
@@SyRose901 Imagine they give his Slide Head the Knock Down property of AC+ (You can literally 5K OTG unscaled pickup from Slide Head KD because WHY NOT!!!!?) Also, 2S>HFB is already 0 on block in AC+ and +R. That is your gateway to insanity.

Why does the wild assault on the 5H examples sometimes pop up and sometimes not? Is that just uncharged (buster) vs charged (pop up, continue combo)?

5P and even cS catches jump startup here, so a pretty good reward. 5P also can block in time to bait reversals
Pot bust also works if you time really well because of prejump frames

So Kara cancel pretty much got swapped out for Hammerfall cancel. Less utility in neutral, more sauce in combos. I can live with that.
Hammerfall gets faster at beginning but goes slower later. But instant HFB gets better.
