Gardar Svavrason från Sverige kringseglade island med sina män, övervintrade i Husavik, byggde hus, och fortsatte resan tillbaka till Rökviken, klockvis, (Reykjavik), bestämde att Island var en Ö. "Eya"
Lång tid mellan vikingatiden, starka hövdingar, båtar ,Kiev-Rus i Gårdarike och Bondpolska i Roslagen :) Våra "såta" vänner i Norge och Danmark, de åkte västerut på sina äventyr och resor på gott och ont, precis som vi. Det var ju enklare att resa öster Därut till Rusland, om man bodde öster om kölen på båten. Den ligger uppochned med kölen upp i dagen, för de oinvigda. Den första mannen eller människan som kringseglade Island var svensk och hette Gardar Svavarsson. Han har gett nam net Husavik på Island, för han byggde sig ett hus i fjorden, när han övervintrade. Sedan fortsatte han sin resa klockvis och konkluderade att Island var en ö. Vilken lycka det är, att vi har två kön, man och kvinna. Ja, även fåglar är glada på den punktem, även om vi människor knappast kan se skillnad på dem. (ofta)
If there wasn't any stomping it wouldn't be Leif Alpsjo playing! And it isn't that loud. He is a musician that lives his music. I love to hear him. It's his "trademark"!

Gubbskivan, which was produced by national fiddler Leif Alpsjö, is a document of the times. Several generations meet here, each with their own special area, but still all within the same framework - songs from northern upland. Participants include Viksta-Lasse, Sven Larsson, Eric Sahlström, Curt Tallroth, Bo Larsson, Leif Alpsjö and Gunnel Viking. Det är bra spelat.
I use Prim Medium Tension Nyckelharpa Strings which are basically Cello Strings made shorter (and lighter gauged) for the Nyckelharpa since it's in a Viola Tuning (and Viola Pitched). The Nerdy Harpa kit has Pyramid Electric Guitar Strings for the Sympathetics & they're pure nickel wound.
Dancing music is the best 🪕🎵

Vay over me, just playing Ragtime 35 years ago, on a simple piano, violin or nyckelharpa way more advanced. Vad gäller fiolspel, så var det nog mest hatch-fiol med björntråd och klädnypa i fönsterblecket när jag var barn. Blev jagad i natten när vi avbröt en möte mellan en man och en kvinna, haha.
Jag är full som en Kaja men kunde förr spela piano spik nykter, bättre med rag-time.

My nyckelharpa is made by Harry Hedbom, one of the very best. The full sound depends on that it has a maple bottom. He also made my bow from pernambuco.
Oj, jag önskar att jag haft lite mer tålamod med lektionerna du försökte ge mig när jag var 7 eller så. Nu sitter jag med en blockflöjt i Belgrad och försöker hänga med i rytmerna men förstår nästan ingenting ^_^' Jag hittade noter på den här någonstans och lärde mig fel, för noterna ligger inte alls så nära sanningen. Men när jag hör dig spela den så väcks det lite barndomsminnen nånstans också minns jag: "just ja, precis sådär ska det låta!". I'm a pianist and never played bowed string instruments before, will it be very difficult to learn it?
Dear hagyeong yeo As with any instrument it requires devotion, time and good instructions. Your musical experience will be of great help. I have been teaching the violin since 1971 and the nyckelharpa since 1975 and it is noticeable how much it means even if you "only" have been singing in an amateur choir. I have had two professional pianists as students, one from China and one from Japan and they are doing fine. Whenever you want a nyckelharpa, bow and case I´m here with very good stuff for reasonable money. Thank you for the wonderful left hand exercise, but especial the advice for avoiding "tennis elbow." I contracted that last internships sawing firewood, and it does take months to heal. The advice to frequently rest and stretch is of immeasurable worth. Thank you!
