Ah yes, the yearly passion project. This video has been years in the making, so I am VERY relieved for it to finally be finished. Or at least put as much work as I am willing to put into it. I'd finished arranging it back in 2020, after many, MANY games of Mariokart Wii with my sister between our remote learning classes. I was wondering, do you get the score to these, or do you just work all the parts out yourself????
I listen to the original track, and transcribe all the parts into a music notation software called musescore. I also do all the arranging in musescore, so then I can have my own sheet music of the arrangement to read off of when recording, as opposed to having to learn each part by ear. It also gives me a mock-up version of the arrangement to use as a sort of ‘backing track’ when recording with the live instruments, which helps a lot with recording as it gives me an idea of what the final track will sound like. Hopefully that makes sense… please tell me if it doesn’t. Thanks for the question though!!
