Nikolai Kapustin: Piano Sonata No. 2, Op. 54
Просмотров 24 тыс.2 года назад
"Kapustin composed his second Piano Sonata, op. 54, in 1989, and it is the longest of the sixteen he has written to date. A hugely extrovert work, this sonata combines many disparate stylistic elements into a carefully controlled four movement structure: a vigorous first movement, a muscular scherzo, an unhurried and dream-like Largo and an explosive perpetuum mobile with a remarkable 8 7 8 5 t...

❤
I dislike how she plays the transition at 57 seconds, her left hand is not forte enough so it doesn't really show the difference in character between the passages.
Beautiful!
grazie
I had no idea that this work existed. I like it very much. I do not know whether it is ever performed, but definitely it should be. I also appreciate your analysis. It's very enlightening. Thanks a lot.
Pure Glazunov; relaxing, mellow, like jazz, added with pure late romantic charm. I've never heard something quite like it. It's beautiful, refreshing.
beautiful melody! I wanna hear this in organ or pedal piano version. It will more magnificent!
C/est une merveille un trésor un moment magique ses sonate un plaisir unique on pourrait dire il ne faudrait pas que sa a arrête
I don't know why but I hear the melodies of d'Albert's First Piano concerto (1886) op.2? Wow
All seem to be connected with one theme?
One of the truly great pieces for solo piano
Грандиозно!❤
Да я слышал снова и снова
Big Grieg vibes
Thanx for sharing !
Very Islamey ending
3:20 - 4:10 suspiciously similar harmony to second mvmt from Rachmaninov 1st
美しく力強い曲である。1楽章から2楽章への流れが美しい。3楽章もとても快活だ。
Very good!
BRILLIANT.
My goodness!! That 3rd movement 🤯🤯🤯
No.5 for me!
Прямолинейно.
Complimenti.Howard suona stupendamente .Ottimo inserimento.
the great pianist Raoul Koczaslki played this way decades ago...
what edition of the score is this?
nvm 🥰
Fantastic performance! You can view the live performance of this recording by Ms Einav Yarden by searching for "Haydn - Sonata in F major, Hob. XVI/29, Einav Yarden, Live"
Too harsh, not memorable

Unimaginative--and so derriere garde for the time. Wonder why Brendel liked it?
The orchestra is actually comprised of members of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Sometimes a recording company would have a few more recordings to make beyond the contracted agreement. By calling it "The Columbia Symphony Orchestra" instead of the Philadelphia Orchestra, they needed to pay only the players, a smaller sum.
Fabulously well played. Even the quadruple pianissimos. The meterless terrain is perfectly negotiated. Who is Jeni Slotchiver?
Of course the last two desrve all the praise, but I also really like the flavor of alternating natural and raised sevenths in the first one.
I feel like its missing the fast part like chopins winterwind, you can almost hear it
Wow. A fascinating and original piece.
A bit like Rachmaninoff's Op.32 No.2. Maybe Rach knew this piece
What a beautiful interpretation

Enjoyable, what a pianist. You could follow the lines in the score easily, Bach is linear. And access to a grand piano mechanics makes those rapid passages easy :)
