How did you enjoy music and scenography?

Personally I loved it. The plot or the idea of the movie was revealed in the first 3 minutes with the cartoon animation. Arthur couldn’t handle the idea or shadow of the Joker that people put on him, as much as he tried. Then that ties with the ending perfectly, Joker is not a person but a disease that spreads and takes people to their edge of their sanity. And lastly Harley or Lee it’s nothing but a representation of the huge following he had form the first movie, they don’t want no Arthur, they want the Joker no matter what, the crazy maniac, psycho killer they created in their heads, but the moment he realizes he simply CANT be that they vanished. To me was brilliant but ngl took me a couple watches to fully digest the movie.

Joker 2 is 9/10 for me ❤ i thought the same thing about the parallel between Joker 2 + TLJ which as a 25 year long SW fan, i also loved

Joker 2 was awful

I enjoyed both Joker and Joker 2 for different reasons. I never felt like Arthur was a "badass" in the first film, I was mesmerized by watching this man slowly let go of his own sanity.

I thought this film was a masterpiece personally. I'm not necessary a comic book fan (or hater) and so I didn't have any personal need to see anything be canon or anything like that. Also not a huge musical fan either, but the musical aspect does a good job of utilizing Arthur's desire to sink into his fantasies to escape horrifying abuse and shame. I'm more of an arthouse fan and that's what I got from this movie.

these movies are not people pleasers, the 2nd isn't and the first one wasn't meant to be either, the ending of the first was so cathartic and flashy that it blinded the mainstream audience to the true intent of the movie, which is a vile joke, that's the point every plot line in both movies ends in failure, and both movies are riddled with scenes that are there for no other reason than to make you uncomfortable, the joke was on the audience the whole time, 99 percent just didn't see it so they made the 2nd movie spell it out for you, and that made people bitter.

People are so emotionally controlled. They're literally taking others negative opinions of everything. Im not seeing this in the cinema. But I think it's gonna be a classic. They're gonna look back and think "wow such a cool concept"

I personally loved the film, and I felt the singing aligned well with the narrative. In the first movie, Arthur used the fantasy of dancing and the TV show as an escape, but that vanished after the murder on Murray's show. Afterward, Arthur had nothing left to escape into-until he met a girl who sings, and he found a new outlet through that. I see consistency between the two movies. I think most people expected the rise of the Joker, but what we experienced was twofold: the fall of the Joker as a persona, and the rise of the Joker as an abstract concept, how an idea transcends - and his death was symbolic in that sense.

I loved it. Also the guy who stabbed arthur couldn't be the joker either right?

I really like Both movies. Joker 2 , imo, was artistically well done. Both movies do not do what u expect. Joker 2 is anticlimactic & that’s ok. Joaquin Phoenix deserved the Oscar for the first movie. Cinematography for 2nd movie was Amazing

I think in 10, 15, or 20 years audiences will truly appreciate the brilliance of this move. We were never supposed to really know or sympathize with the Joker. He’s a mysterious psychopath full stop. .

Still feels like I watched both of these movies for nothing

I have a quick question regarding this, before starting it however, i want to say, i really like your interpretation on Anti-Venom here, instead of being a husk of symbiote with no consciousness, it seems to be the same old symbiote except it's filled with all the positive emotions, instincts of being Spider-Man. Now, regarding the ending, Pete gives up on being well, Spider-man, keeps his suit in a, what i assume, briefcase, however, here's the question, what exactly happens to Anti-Venom? He can't quite just "get rid off it" as it's tied to his blood stream, and his body itself, does this mean that Pete just has symbiote powers which he could use in day to day life?

This was really good man. Like bravo, it legitimately might be hard for me to not want to kind of imagine this is what's going on the next time I play through the game. I thoroughly enjoyed it but the story not only feels less well paced and written than the original, but just overall one of the more underwhelming venom / symbiote suit stories overall Definitely didn't think any of it was bad, but this has a lot more of the kind of characterization and nuance that I would have liked to have seen rather than just literally turning venom into an alien bent on world domination with no personal motives

what if Tai lung Sacrifices himself to save Po. so, he can Defeat the villain. I think this would add more depth to tai lung and Shifu dies as well and at the end we see them hugging each other. and we see the young tai lung and younger Shifu playing I think this would be a really emotional scene. And how Chameleon gets Defeated would-be Po becoming the Spiritual leader. and it could show the turtle dude doing the same moves next to him as if he's really there. and at the end Po chose's a fat pig. who comes out of nowhere like po did.

The quality of acting on 1984 Dune outclasses the current time and time again. That Villanueve was not the best director is an understatement and the casting was weak at best. 1984 remains the best in cast and direction.

YES. I always felt like Po and Tai Lung were two sides of the same coin. They always felt like kindred spirits and that, if life took them on different paths, that they could have been friends! Tai Lung being Po's successor instead of Zhen would have been WAY more tasteful and I think the chain of events you describe create a very good foundation for a redemption arc that feels earned and whole. Ah but you forgot the corporate aspect of making games. By killing Harry you also kill any chance of a Venom spinoff which I'm certain they were considering while Spider-Man 2 was still in development.

I enjoy these small changes to the overall film. Besides, if Cassandra Nova was left in the void, it would make her a potential threat for future films.

I like your version of the film. Here's my version of the film. Act 1: The film opens with Po at the Valley just enjoying his life with his dads, being loved by his fans, all that stuff. Then Shifu tells him that one day he has to find a new Dragon Warrior so that he can ascend to spiritual leader. Po thinks about this but soon goes to stop Stingray. After that, he continues to think it over until he holds a tournament where we first meet Zhen and those four candidates we saw in the movie. After the tournament, Po doesn't pick any of them as Shifu tells him that Tai Lung has returned to the mortal realm. Po decides to use this as a test for the new 5 as he and Shifu go to find out what Tai Lung is up to. Along the way, we get some banter between the group and Zhen can get her character arc. Act 2: Little do they know it was a trap set up by the Chameleon to get the staff of wisdom and steal the kung fu from all of them as she has captured the furious five and stolen their kung fu too. Which she uses to fight off the group and steal their kung fu and imprisons them. After trapping them, the Chameleon reveals that Zhen was a spy for her and revealed the trap before tossing Zhen (who the fox saw as a friend) to the side declaring her usefulness has ended, uses the staff to open the Spirit Realm and steals the kung fu of not just villains (NOT including Kai and Shen) but also good guys like Thundering Rhino and Oogway. From there, Chameleon and her army would begin to lay siege to the Valley of Peace. Act 3: Po, Tai Lung and Shifu work together to escape as the four warriors, the furious five and a remorseful Zhen are sent to recruit the Den of Thieves, the rhinos, and Po's Dads to hold off the lizard army. As for the main three, they would try to hold off the Chameleon as best as they can but it's hard considering their kung fu has been stolen. During the fight, Chameleon, shapeshifted into Oogway, is about to kill Po and Tai Lung, but Shifu sacrifices himself to save them both. As he passes away, he tells Tai Lung that he's sorry for turning him into the way he was and tells Po that it's his turn to lead the Valley. Oogway, sheds tears as his student passes away. Po and Tai Lung enraged, fights the Chameleon with everything they have but something happens. The Chameleon's body starts to break down as she's absorbed too much kung fu for her body to handle and explodes giving back the kung fu of everyone she took it from (Like how Kai was defeated in the third movie). But in the smoke, she's shrunk down to a withered form and is sent by Tai Lung to the Spirit Realm using the Wuxi Finger Hold as Po sends all the Spirit Warriors back to the Spirit Realm. Except for Tai Lung, who decides to do some soul searching and wanders the world to find out who he is outside of kung fu as Po picks Tigress as the next Dragon Warrior and Po and the Five train Zhen and the four candidates to be the next generation of the Furious Five in Shifu's memory. Speaking of the Chameleon I would have a backstory where she was growing up in Juniper City and was left for dead after an encounter with some bandits and no one helped her. Growing resentful of her fellow citizens and vengeful against the bandits who nearly killed her, she tries to learn kung fu, but the masters rejected her due to her inner darkness (kind of like Tai Lung) and try to guide her on the right path, but she refused to see it that way. Meeting Zhen and some others who were also left to rot on the streets, she allies with them (only seeing them as tools) as she turns to sorcery, which is more powerful and addictive, the power of it eventually drove her mad and she decides to conquer the world so no one will ever go through what she went through and the only one that's in her way is the Dragon Warrior who she sees as a false messiah as she believes the title is for someone who only helps when really bad things happen and not helping the people with their troubles. As for Tai Lung, I would have him get him kung fu stolen but barely managed to escape. Meet up with Po and the others and he explains what happened. Tai Lung would be kept at arm's length with Po and Shifu considering everything he previously did but Zhen and the four would be accepting of him. Throughout the movie it would Tai Lung trying his best to atone in the eyes of Shifu, Po and the Furious 5, who are still wary and distrustful about him. Eventually, he does slowly regain their trust over the course of the adventure.

Spidey retiring in the game just sort of seems to hold no weight. Harry survived. He didn't compromise anything. He wasn't even really the sole obstacle battling Venom, as Miles did a ton of the work when it should've been more personal. Norman vowed revenge for no understable reason, as he asked Spider-Man to save his son, and Spider-Man did exactly that - he killed the symbiote, but not Harry, and now they could work on a more secure way of curing him, yet he just decided to be a villain out of nowhere. Peter hanging up the mask because he legitimately killed Harry, he truly gave Norman a REASON to become the Goblin, and he feels like he compromised his responsibility for the betterment of all others, fits so well. Especially the idea that the symbiote is still there, it's blank, but could become sentient in the future. He doesn't have the red and blue under his clothes, but when times are really, really desperate in the future, he can still swing out when he is needed. Also, personally, I like the idea in the future of little Mayday Parker in the insomniac-verse having a purely symbiote suit, naturally granted to her as the Anti-Venom symbiote reproduces to help protect its host's own offspring. It would be really cool to have a game where a conscious, talking symbiote is an actual friend to the wall-crawler wearing it, instead of an inevitable antagonist. The Anti-Venom is nice to have, but it's just a fancy suit in the game - it's not conscious and seems *significantly* weaker than the Black Suit was, partly because of lacking sentience but also just from how poor of a fight it puts up against Venom, when it should logically be a direct counter to him. Hell in some of the cinematics nearer the end, the Anti-Venom suit is treated like a normal suit, with Peter taking the mask off like he would his regular one. Outside of its first appearance, and a couple instances of tendrils, it's not really treated like a symbiote in the cutscenes a lot of the time, especially with how it remains battle damaged instead of repairing itself and Peter. ======== Given that Yuri says it could take even years to track down Carnage, because we all know that's who the Flame is, on top of Peter retiring to restart the Emily-May Foundation (but it being reduced to just him in his garage is incredibly tragic and honestly a bit of a cop out), I'd like to see a theoretical third game that takes place well over a decade later. Peter and MJ are about middle aged, Miles is fully grown and a far more powerful Spider than before, and HE'S taking on part of the mentor role in helping a budding teenage Mayday Parker, who is maybe only about as old as he was when he started. Having Spider-Girl as a protagonist would be I think a first for any game, especially if she has my envisioned friendly symbiote - not as the source of her powers, but just a natural boost to it. It's not like it would give her any downsides in this perfect world. She is tutored by her father and Miles, and when needed, her symbiote learns from Anti-Venom if it begins to stray in its development, as it would be growing with her. And Anti-Venom clearly lacks the sonic weakness that other symbiotes have, and under insomniac rules, they don't have a weakness to fire in the first place. I just really want an actual friendly symbiote that is actively sentient like Venom, yet thinks like a version of Spider-Man all on its own.

Why would they recruit a Bunch of criminals when they can literally call in The Panda Army! It was literally established that The Pandas are now a fully functional Army!

Yes it is better, but that is like saying I like a classic Club sandwich and you like a Club with Avocado, melted jack cheese, with honey turkey on Rye. I personally liked Lynches long version better, but then again the new one was entertaining, but Lynch didn't have the luxury back then to make a 5 hour movie. There are many things missing out of the new one, Guild Navigators, More emperor plot details. Also lynch styled the world based on when the book was written in the 50's style with retro like technology, the new one felt more like a modern person view of the book world. I think the new one had some nice things in it, but for an over all weird otherworldly movie I would pick Lynch's even if you didn't like his movie. Don't forget the Soundtrack of TOTO.

Ya know what they could've done, if they were worried about Marvel not letting them use Spider-Man? Just have this movie set up Spider-Gwen, and have her be the main hero of your universe. I mean shoot, that's what I would've done, at least that way it provides an interesting alternate universe with different stories or variations of the Spider-Man comics to tell

In the book the wierding way of fighting is completely based on the Bene Gesserit training which focusses on a very deep training, which makes them like the most advanced martial arts fighters. The Bene Gesserit keep these techniques hidden and only used them as a last resort. The Bene Gesserit want to work behind the scenes, not showing their abilities. That Jessica was training Paul in these technique was kind of forbidden. That's is why the Gom Jabbar test was so important, because he could be left with such powerful techniques as using the voice, if he was not able to restrain it.

The space guild cannot 'fold space' or anything else. They use prescience (caused by using a lot of spice) to see a safe path when moving at faster than light space. The idea is space is not empty enough to safely travel at high speeds and that you need to see the future for a safe trip.

A Tai Lung redemption is an interesting concept, but I feel as though him becoming the Dragon Warrior might contradict some aspects the films hold. 1) While I do think Tai Lung can be redeemed to an extent, I do think it's tough to do so given his past actions. His rampage on the village, though not explicitly said to have cause death, was heinous enough to warrant maximum security, which implies deathly outcomes. With that sort of implication, a movie meant for kids will have a difficult time redeeming such a character, especially one who was prepared to kill his own father for limitless power. (Then again, Oogway also fought in a war which is barely ever mentioned). 2) Oogway was the founder of Kung Fu in this universe, and as the trailblazer for this art, he sensed darkness in Tai Lung. And the movies as far as I'm aware have yet to refute Oogway's moral judgement. 3) Taoism plays a huge part in these movies. The yin and yang, which Po represents both of. Living in inaction like a panda, and living for others like a defender of the Valley. There is no evil or good in Taoism, something Oogway explicitly says in the first film. Tragedy strikes when there is an imbalance of the unity with yin and yang. Tai Lung is the embodiment of that imbalance. Being so focused on the action, that the inaction that Po has is never matched. That's why their final battle in KF1 showed that not only can Po fight Tai Lung hand to hand, but can also that his stillness can absorb Tai's destructive punches. Po made the perfect Dragon Warrior as he both represents the stagnancy of nature as a calm panda, and the righteous fast-moving combatant as a Valley defender. Tai doesn't exhibit either of these truths (although, nor do any other characters in the series).
