    Good review. Thank you. I am strongly considering buying an M4 and I live in snow country so my tractors have to push snow. @blakeperkins4133 2 года назад

      Hey Jesse, I appreciate the advice. After some seat time with the mower I did figure out that lining up the rear tire with the inside disc and keeping it as far as possible from the already cut helped a lot. But as far as the outer swath board my mower doesn’t have one. It just has the taller disc hub that is supposed to help with that. We’ll be mowing again here shortly:)

  • @farmer2521
    @farmer2521 2 года назад

    The outside swath board is not providing enough of a separation between cut and uncut hay. That will cause the hay to catch and build up on the skid shoe at the main gear box. Adjust your outer swath board to help provide a wider separation between cut and uncut hay. Sometimes in thick hay it is hard to get that separation. I tend to line the gear box skid shoe up as close to the outer edge of the rear tire. This allows me to line the skid up with where the outer swath board ran on the next cut to hel keep the hay from balling up on it. The tire also helps flatten it out some to where the shoe rides over it better.

    I've had my eye on the Rhino TS 12 for a while shopping. My local dealer is saying it will take a few months before they arrive. The backlog on these mowers is several months. I think the wait will be worth it. You seem happy with yours.

      Hello, I am very satisfied with mine. Saves me hours mowing! My friend came and checked mine out and ordered the ts10 for his tractor. I wanna say his was 6weeks out when he ordered it. Very nice cut and nicely built. Only thing is double check everything after you get it from your dealer. I’ll try to get up a review video the next time I get it out. Thanks

      That’s awesome! It has been great for us as well but you definitely are using it more than me:) ours has about 300hrs now and it has been great. You’ll have to let us know how it’s doing in the next couple years when it gets some hours on it:)

    I have been obsessively researching trying to find this combo as I want to upgrade to exactly this for my pasture mowing needs. Any complaints?

    • @blakeperkins4133

      Only complaint is I didn’t do it 2yrs ago. I have probably 50acres on it already. I’ll try to get a review video up the next time I use it. Well built heavy duty machine.

      @@blakeperkins4133 I just got some trade numbers back on my M59 that I mow with and it is gonna be awfully hard to say no to upgrading to this m4. I look forward to more videos.

      @@ChaseLandMgmt Well I have about 300hrs on mine so far of mainly pto work and I wouldn’t want to be without it and would buy the same tractor again if that means anything to you. Good luck:)

      @@blakeperkins4133 also good to hear! I wanted a tracked skid steer for a while, but I enjoy mowing and I have taken on a lot of larger properties that just need maintenance mowing and a tractor will mow circles around a tracked machine and you can actually stretch out in the cab. I think this is the right choice.

    Good advice. When I bought my M7060 I had to order it and added every option, 12 speed, creeper gears, air seat, Rear defrost window (adds larger alternator with that) Cast and loaded rears with radials and optional lighting and 3 rear remotes. My dealer at the time had about 10 to 12 M7060 cabs on the lot but every one of them was an 8 speed with zero options. I asked them why and they said because of price and people price them against JD E models that are stripped down too. I did my homework and agree with you on not only the wheels but the seat and other options as well. You get the best bang for your buck on getting these tractors loaded with options, have a MUCH better user experience and a way better resell value. People always say the Kubota it a light tractor, I say you can make them weight as much as you want. My M7060 is as heavy and some 100HP tractors.

      I agree!:) when I changed the tire and wheel combination it just made it a different tractor. Sometimes it’s worth getting a couple extra options. I probably would’ve ended up getting a M5 before but now I can’t see it leaving the property. Thanks for watching.

    The width spacing of your front wheels will have no effect on hillside stability. Your front axle has a centre pivot point under the engine, so any terrain changes will rotate around the centre pivot point. Wide rear wheels will definitely help with stability. Nice looking tractor there.

    • @genewilliams7497
      @genewilliams7497 3 года назад

      All front axles have stops built into the axle housing that prevent unlimited travel/rotation of the axle side to side. If not the front tires would be into the loader all the time.

    • @kevinjensen7465
      @kevinjensen7465 3 года назад

      @@genewilliams7497 That is correct, but when it comes to hillside stability, like you said in the video, by the time the tractor has rotated as far as the axle stops, you are too far gone to be able to stop rolling over. I have my rear wheels spaced reasonably wide for stability, and my front wheels not quite as wide but mainly for visual appearance. Where ever anybody has their wheel spacings, safety is very important.
