Pthalocyanine is pronounced thal-uh-sahy-uh-neen. However, in my 60+ years, I’ve mostly heard artists and instructors say thay-lo or thal-oh for short.

Thanks for sharing this. Looks so exciting. Deli paper isn’t available in UK so very expensive to buy from the across the Atlantic. For food wrap or baking we have greaseproof paper or silicone paper. I don’t believe either have cold wax. They’re not as thin or transparent as your deli wrap. What is “medical paper” . Thank you for showing parts you may not like. It inspires me to push through and realize not every step or end result will be what I love. But those are a great lesson and often end in fantastic accidents!

You are so right in saying that if we are not creating for awhile we lose our groove. I’m grateful that I’m working at enjoying life and able to get to create whenever I please, so I get in my studio, put my apron on, get paints out and just play. I like participating in challenges, it gets my creative juices flowing. I also use the Color Cubes for color palettes, it helps me when I’m in need of challenges because I love all the colours of the rainbow 😊

Hi Michele. I love playing with the gel plates! I also use one for my palette so no paint is wasted. I like to try different techniques and one that I love for a distressed look is adding some baby powder on the paint before the pull. You get amazing results 😊

I just got a gelli plate for Christmas and I’ve played with it once. I love the idea of having a palette of color to inspire the prints. Thanks so much for sharing!

Going in with a preconceived vision always results in disappointment and frustration. I tend to be a go with the flow by the seat of my pants kind of person! I love the palette you're using and can see great potential with it!

Happy New Year. It's good to have you back. Thanks for all the great information. What tool did you use to make the big black circle early on? It looks like a silicon pastry brush, but it made much better marks than I can make when I use a pastry brush.

Artists watching an artist create is always funny. The artist creating is exploring, pushing, pulling their vision out of the material. The artists watching are quietly shouting “No! Don’t cover that up! Don’t use that color” or cheering on agreeing with the choices… art being so subjective makes how passionate we are with our opinions amusing 😂 Just found your channel today, I’m watching this little series before checking out your other videos but so far I’m enjoying your content! I like to draw nature elements rather than draw with them. I love earth tones and dried plants. However, it's cold enough that I can't say I want to go out and "explore" them at this time. I am looking forward to see how you use these mark making pages.
