Bro, too much flexing in the 1/2" SQ Dr Extension Bar when you you go too long especially when using two piece extension bar (All your turning effort absorbed). Move next size up to 3/4" Sq Dr with a Female 3/4" sq Dr to Male 1/2" sq Dr. Adaptor to connect your 6PT deep socket 19mm. You may ask an assistant to knock the handle bar whilst you turn.

I would not use an impact to achieve the precise torque of 181 ft-lbs.

This used to be me years ago. This is a high risk endeavor. I now use a high torque Milwaukee electric impact with the Lisle weighted socket and haven't had a problem since. Honda bolts no longer scare me as they used to. They are no longer the boss of me. My mama tells me that I am a big boy now.

What kind of impact gun did you use was it air impact or can I do this with impact 20v opt battery?

How long would u say total time it took to do this job deciding at what time during the day to do this morning or sunset cus i got no tent to cover my head

When breaking loose super stuck bolts sometimes it helps to give the breaker bar or cheater pipe a few good hits with a mini sledge while you're pulling on it, acts like a literal impact wrench.

If that seal leaks will it always make that mess or just drip straight down??? My Honda elements has a drip under the crankpully but it's around between the pan and the block. I'm sure it's the pan gasket but I have the seal doubt in my head now

You probably should have changed the harmonic balancer, it looks like the rubber between the two halves of the balancer had deteriorated pretty bad.

They must have loaded it with locktite from the factory

Use an oxyacetylene torch. Then a regular impact grade 19mm will zip it off.

why do you have to soaking oil with new seal ?

fantastic video and all, but do we need to worry about cleaning the sprayed oil that is on the timing belt from the leak, or will that just work its way off? if so whats the best way to do that?

I just don't know we're the oil is coming from looks like the same place car has noises when I start it and when I drive noise comes and goes I see alternator is fine 14 on multimeter starter okay and pump I just changed it so I saw alot of leak of oil under the alternator might be the same problem oil leak help what do you say?

Water pump? Oil was getting all over the water pump too? You can't even see the water pump so how do you know this. I'm amazed at the amount of mechanics, including Honda dealership service managers that don't know the water pump is internal and driven by the timing belt.

Lisle heavy crank bolt socket and Milwaukee 1/2 impact. Bolt is out in 3 seconds. No sense in potentially getting injured

Your engine is little bit oily but you won this battle 👍😁 For all of you out there having hard time losing the bolt. If you lock the flywheel it would be much easyer because it wouldn't spring that much it would be like dead still. Use extension as short as possible this was really not a good idea because it was twisting so much to do this you have to place the bar in front and under the bumper. You will have to jack up the car for more room and trust me you don't really need such a long bar to break it!

Hey man great video. It actually took my father-in-law to come over we had a 2-ft breaker bar and it took foot cheater bar on that boat the busted loose. I wasn't heavy enough by father-in-law is a 450 lb man sat on the end of that to break it loose it was ridiculous. I have a leak not sure where it's coming from but I did a entire overhaul with gaskets on the top end not sure about the crank shaft seal.

Your extensions is too long

Thanks for your suggestions. I had to use my 3/4 inch drive, 3 ft cheater, plus a 2ft pipe wrench which finally did the trick. The pipe wrench was on the 3/4 extension.

How deep does the pin go inside?
