I usually love when people offer corrections by reaching out and doing it respectfully, but when you get critiqued for missing out on 1% increases in public chat in the most disrespectful way possible, it puts me off wanting to do theorycrafting for other people , those people usually never reach out in DM's and usually shit on you for not being on their knowledge level, instead of just respectfully sharing the solution to the incorrect value/item so that the person responsible for the guide can actually become better. I've found this elitist mentality quite alot in the competitive scene and for people who hold those kinds of attitudes/ways of treating others they will never grow as a human being.. alot of new people feel anxiety/pressure to play with "skilled players" because of the general preception that "omg if i mess up im gonna get blasted at" with emotional intelligence comes the understanding everyone is on a different level and you should learn to adapt to the situation (ie if you are impatient and hate people messing up, then go play with people of your calibre) but with playing with someone new to something you must be patient and be "Ok" with them not potentially doing something that's "easy" for you and well said that we do this for free and to help people! alot of people don't understand or appreciate the time/work that goes into a data-driven theorycrafting guide, in that world there's always room for improvement based your understanding of the engine used to find the most optimal results, and not every person will be on the same level, that's why i always say i do the best i can according to what I currently know/understand Great video :)

Doesn't hit too hard, but the debuffs he and the scarabs inflict can be nasty if they stack high. Haven't got much on the topic of the tournament as speedrunning is in entirely different zip code than me, but I will say this is what the tournament kinda missed. Eddiewouldgo here, that tournament was a lot of fun to watch. You guys that were play by play calling were great! I’m going to learn a lot from y’all. I’ve always played trinkets and weapons that were just fun, never simmed. I wouldn’t care if thunderfurry sucked, I’d still use it cause thunderfurry. I appreciate Druidman saying to just have fun with it instead of sweating BIS!

BiS gear is a huge motivation killer if you're playing experience-locked. 25:45 The difference is that Max Matthews get a new tier of gear with every update, every season, every raid. At 30 you get BiS and you'll remain BiS for possibly a long, long time. 33:15 I'd love to have more dungeon groups going. I was somewhat afraid of interviews boiling down to people listing off their WoW CV, but this was very insightful still. It's always interesting to see how other players view modern 30s or level-locked content in general. Especially things like not liking it because gear comes from a variety of content instead of one specific part of it, that's a point I really didn't have on my radar. I don't agree with it, but it is a fair point if you have spent so much of your time in TBC content one way or another. Still, I would like to see more talk about issues relevant to current 30s instead of all "back in the day". Guests could surely weigh in on those as well. Not saying you should cut down on personal talk, nothing but respect to Blackberryy and other guests, just... talk longer if needed. If you can take one hour out of someone's day, you can take one and a half as well.

Great show. Eddiewouldgo here, just joined the guild. Started playing in 06, xpoff 60’s since cata. In Mists when cross realm raiding started we had a huge 60 xp off group, and we filled 40 man raids. It was epic like you talked about. Stat squish happened, everyone to 25, thunderfurry now at 30. I let it go a couple of years, then I read about what y’all were doing and it motivated me to level to 30 and gear up again. I finally got the nuts to track y’all down, server transfer, and get in the guild. I hope to bring something valuable to the team, however my prowess on discord wont be it. I’ll figure it out though! I’m looking forward to some good times with y’all!

But it's a tale old as guilds, that's why I always refused GM positions, it will burn anyone out eventually because it makes one care too much. 34:30 I dislike the term. Experience-locked character doesn't quite roll of the tongue the same way though, so maybe... correct-level characters? 40:45 I feel the issue is deeper than that. Bit of a broad stroke, but I believe the idea of BiS itself already makes people stop playing 30s. Maybe we can have a chat sometime.

Could you guys use a pally? I’ve twinked a 60 pally, priest, and shamen since Mists. When they did the level squish they made thunderfurry useable at 30 so I leveled my pally. Others are still 25, but I can level and gear quick. Pally fully geared now. Would love to do Herald and raids if y’all are still doing that.
