Wait 72 hours before haircare wash? So only wash out the dye and dont shampoo after??
@@AnnaIPlayPretend haircare routine is your weekly washing routine. When you color or bleach you always shampoo it out. But you must wait 72 hours before your next shampoo so this allows the cuticle to deswell which will ensure your color lasts longer & doesnt fade off :)
@TossledHair oh okay thanks!
Facts! 💯
Can I do a money piece on a side shave hairstyle
@@Lindi_theedemon12 you can do whatever you wanna do on your hair💁🏻♀️ i think it would look sick!!
A Money-Piece is singular. Chunky Highlights and Money-Piece aren't the same thing.
@@SaltySeaWitch3 this is literally a foiling video of my money pieces. Money piece halo is what this is. I literally show only money piece hairline so what are you talking about 😂

@@beckysonday7665 i think it makes such a difference tbh im even like this with my clients haha🥰
It looks so beautiful!!!!!
@@lemonhead162 thank you soo much hun🥰💁🏼♀️
How long did you leave the bleach on with the foils? My hair is this dark and it tends to pull a lot of orange and red.
@@annal1729 i left on the first section for 1 hour 25 minutes. And the back section for 1 hour 45 minutes. The back is more resistant:) yea you should leave your bleach on longer for sure
Love this!! So when you apply the root tap, and let it sit for 10 minutes you rinse it off and then apply the toner to mids and ends?? Or rinse it all together??
No toner has to process together and rinse together, so the timing is simply for the area of the head :) and how long to let it sit according to porosity
Wow u make it look so easy!
Aww thank you haha i this was day 1 right here i can tell the difference in how i do hair now🤣
Here for the give away it’s hazel
Do you prefer hazel or lesley? Lol ❤️🔥
Hispanic is not a race so their can be blond, red or dark brown hair Hispanics. But i get what u mean the Hispanics that have dark hair.Geat video though did a very good Job on that dark hair❤.
Yess its so rare to see us Latinas with different color, a lot of my clients have this dark darkkkkk brown hair almost black, so in the process i see the reds oranges and golds come out haha. Thank you for watching! Xo
At 2:44 in the video what formula/product did you use to obtain the look on the right?
I have the formulas in the description! 💁🏼♀️
What toner you used?
The formula is in the description:)
Loved it!! Thank you for sharing!! 🎉
Yay! Glad to hear it, thank you for watching :)
Holy crap! That looks amazing! I will be doing it on a mannequin head 😍
Thank you so much for your comment! I hope it works out great for ya its a technique i use ALLLL the time on clients who just want a subtle change or a quick retouch w/o doing a full head 😌🙌🏼
Girl!!!!!!!! I don’t know how in the flying f*** this video doesn’t have millions of views at this point by other stylists, like straight up, they truly have to be jealous of your success for this video to not have blown up by now, that’s how excruciatingly accurate your advice in this video is! 💯👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 You have given SUCH AMAZING advice to your fellow stylists in this video and they are the absolute best money making tips I have EVER HEARD hands down!!! I’m not even a stylist and I can tell you this as fact, because for me personally I know that, from MY stylist, these are the qualities that I look for!! If I’m trusting them with the hair on my head, one of a woman’s most prized possessions appearance-wise, then I want to SEE AND KNOW that they care JUST AS MUCH about the hair on my head as they do about the money going into their pocket, and if I don’t see that before they commit to the service, then there won’t be a service happening to begin with!!! My happiness with my hair is their livelihood in the end after all, and it is SOOO refreshing to see a FANTASTIC stylist that has that figured out and has become so overwhelmingly successful as a result of their patience and knowledge for the profession they chose, because look at you ma, YOU MOST DEFINITELY GOT IT FIGURED OUT!!! 🤌🏼🙏🏼🙌🏼🫶🏼 THANK YOU!!!! You are really one in a million!!! I wish you lived in Cincinnati or was even remotely close to it. I’d make a 2-3 hour drive just to see you regularly, that’s how valuable you are in this industry these days!!! Don’t change!!!
I totally forgot to reply back but thank you so much your words and kindness have really made me my night. I truly appreciate the feedback about the tips! I always hope i can teach something especially since i specialize in dark hair transformations, theres so much more to go thru😅 My dream is to be a traveling stylist and if that ever became a thing, id definitely post about it! Thank you again for taking the time to leave a beautiful comment, im happy to hear you have a great stylist its always awesome to be in good hands🎉 xoxo
I want to do my own baby lights, and it looks like it is totally do-able as DIY. And I have a little experience doing my own hair color, and highlights, etc.... I am new to this root tapping technique. I had a quick question. Once I bleach my baby lights, and I want to tone them with a color, which I will use a level 9, can I also use that to root tap? Or should that be a different color? I am naturally dark brunette, and also covering some grays, which I did all my roots in a shade / level 5 a few days ago. Any suggestions might help with me being successful. Thanks so much in advance!!
Thats awesome! Doing your own hair can definitely be fun its just time consuming. If you want to feel the blondest then use the toner level 9 on your roots first, let it sit for 5 minutes or 10, then go with the toner all over. This will ensure the rest of your hair stays light and the roots get more color opacity. Good luck!
1:30 describes the difference
Looks awesome!
Thank you so much Eli glad you liked it🫶🏻
i always struggle to tone hair to a brighter white like this with still having so much yellow, id love to know your formulations.
Idk how i missed your question, but i always post formulas for toner in the description of the video🫶🏻
what was your toner formulations
I didn't understand the placement
What was it that you didnt understand?
I'm getting ready to do shades EQ on a human hair wig. Any specific warnings or advice
What’s the cost run for the process, thank you
I was a cosmo student pre covid. I loved this video it really made me want Togo back to school
Omg Gina thats amazing! Were you going to school for hair/skin/nails? How awesome! The industry is amazing i truly hope you go back to school that would be amazing for you. So happy to hear this thank you so so much🥰❤️
Great job! Question- would this root melt look good w a shorter hair cut? Think long layers on sides and about three inches below shoulders. Or would the drag of the shadow be a bit too low? Also would u be able to Wow comb this leaving out ends and money piece til end? DIY here
I’m new to root tapping. I always want to be as blonde as possible and am wondering if I should ask my stylist for this. So a root tap isn’t using color, but toner?? Toner literally washes out of my hair in 2, if not just one wash. I have to wash my hair with purple shampoo every time I shampoo and it STILL never stays that super cool tone I’ve aspired to have for years. I’ve tried everything 😔
Hey! Yes so I use a Toner for the root color as well and it will last 20 washes if the stylist lets it process for the full 20-25 minutes. When you want to maintain cool blonde, you can only wash/rinse your hair in cool water, use purple shampoo only once a week and when using it you have to let it sit on for 5 minutes. the more you wash your hair throughout the week= the quicker your toner will fade. hope this helps! xo
omg thank you!!1 I'm doing a root touch up and a partial balayage today so I'm going to use this technique today!!!🥰
omg yay! how did it turn out? :D
@@TossledHair It turned out absolutely AMAZING! Thankyou.
Grandioso, exelente. Muchas gracias. Saludos de Perú. 💓
Muchas gracias por su comentario, espero le gusto el video❤️😊
IT IS THE RINSE FOR ME.... THAT IS WHERE I GO WRONG 😓😩😖 IT BLEEDS ON TO THE BLONDE !!!
ahhh that can be frustrating for sure. I suggest rinse with cool water if the root color is level 5 or darker :)
I started doing bleach blond a little over a year ago with stylists that could never get it right so I started doing it at home - with both myself and the colorists I can always see a big line when my roots come in. I’m excited to try this technique
Thats awesome! I hope it helps, and in my experience it definitely helps diffuse the line as growout appears 😅
Love this video. Would love to see it redone with more detailed for beginners.
Definitely! I am working on rebranding so I should be posting videos within the next couple of months 🤩💁🏻♀️💁🏼♀️
How many foils you use in front?
I have a box color correction next week, I’ll definitely try what you showed! Thanks 😊
Beautiful
Beautiful! I have a black box color coming in next week. She wants a partial balayage/ baby light.. she’s a natural 4 .. thanks for the tips
Definitely I hope all goes well with your correction! 💁🏻♀️💁🏼♀️ What color are you shooting to achieve for her first session?
I don't like gloves either.
Can you explain the combing it through?
Please do you use a 10 V or 20V?
Great tips!!! Definitely took notes
I'm in beauty school & got someone in 2 days scheduled for a partial highlight, I'm terrified !
Aww congratulations on being in school! What has you worried? Is a partial highlight at your school just the Mohawk section?
I'm worried bc we didn't even get to learn abt it & yeah it is just the mohawk section
@@idk-qx8hh i have a video on a partial highlight its called “Do Hair With Me” the thumbnail is a blonde client. I recommend watching it as i also show how i tone the client using a root tap technique. I hope it helps! :)
thank you !! I appreciate it ! 🥰
