We have another channel that you can see from my home screen that talks about Spanish tax a lot more. That channel has been set up to discuss international taxation. We are trying to keep this channel more about moving and living in Marbella, Spain 🇪🇸. I hope that paints a picture for you in terms of our strategic plans for each channel, we develop 👍

People can visit any country without checks, but people wishing to live in a country will always have to go through checks 👍

Have you tried in both the UK and Spain. I would be really interested to get real viewpoints on this.

in the UK you could choose between different pathways: 1. Applying through the points-based immigration system. You need to meet the criteria like. min. of £25,600 yearly earnings, speaking the language on required level, have a job in the UK on the "appropriate skill level" and a couple more. 2. Get a Skilled Worker visa (just for people on the shortage list). Retirement Visa has been ended. Family Visas still exist- but you need a family living in the UK since years. Or ancestry Visas. So in the end this means: legal migration to the UK has ended and illegal migration has reached new heights. People with skills and money don´t move to the UK anymore, because they feel it´s become a very bad place since 2016. People without skills and money still cross the channel without Visa.

Brexit was mainly to prevent EU imposed illegal immigration. It did that, but they forgot their own government are traiters too. Free trade agreements can restore lost trade with the EU, no problem. The problem is STILL illegal immigrants and rising taxes and inflation to cover the cost. Plus increasing crime.

I am so sorry to hear that. I thought that Malta would have been great. Are you now thinking of moving elsewhere?

To be honest, I got in many years ago, so I’m not doing too bad financially, but the country has become overpopulated, cost of living has increased, especially rental properties as well as real estate; it’s dirty, narrow streets without proper footpaths, lots of traffic; forget going to the beaches because you’ll never get a spot anymore unless you arrive at 8am or after 5pm. It’s just not the paradise it used to be and I would encourage my kids to leave eventually. I recently visited Marbella area and it was spectacular. Surprisingly, I could sell my apartment here and get a house with a backyard in a nice Neighbour hood . There is plenty of open spaces, plazas, walkways large enough for families to take a stroll, a whole coast of beaches, 1/2 price groceries most of the time, playgrounds for children, safety, clean, and most importantly, people seemed happy. Even the cashiers at the supermarket were joking and laughing with customers… forget that in Malta. The Maltese have become money hungry and their mentality, greedy. There has always been greed on this island, but given the economic boom over the past 10 years, the people, not all of course, have changed

You are 100% right in what you say. I take it from another angle. If you are from the UK and self-employed (digital customers), your earnings should not change. Therefore, looking at the cost of living in the UK or Spain allows you to keep more earnings.

Thank you ever so much for the comment, it is warmly welcomed. It would be warmly welcomed, wouldn't it as we are in Spain London is going to be more expensive I would have thought than most places. Is that fair?

@@steveplaster great questions. We personally found, on the immigration lawyer front, local to where you are planning to live is best. This is because you can tie in your visits to them to your general preparation visits and also you will need to file 3 more visa applications over the course of 5 years (on current rules) once you get your initial visa. The document list is long (!) but includes as an example: police (UK) report, birth certificate, bank statements for a period of 6-12,months, tax returns for the last 1-2 years, proof you have all inclusive medical cover…. It includes other items but the above are the core items as a starter for 10! Hope this helps
