I also have lots of maples too including my favourite Sycamore which my Dad found and planted for me 24 years ago, this tree is featured on my youtube logo and appears in many of my videos :) Thanks for sharing your acorn experience.
I hope to ask you a few questions on my magnolia fig sprout in not sure if all is just fine, or if I did damage/do something incorrect when beginning?
Is there an amount of time they need to stay in the refrigerator?
Red oak rules, White oak drools
They are a shade intolerant tree. You have a lot of nice open space to plant them. I have all forest which makes it a lot harder for them to grow. Thanks for the vid.
nice video but try to grow native plants in your area
👍👍
‘Tree seed man” on ETSY needs to watch your video and all others like this. Tried to sell me 4 acorns that had worms and 90% didn’t float. Unbelievable
Thank you for this tutorial. I had no idea we can grow ginkgo in middle Tennessee. I'm interested in growing our own because I have a son with Autism & ADHD. I live in middle Tennessee too. I'd greatly appreciate if you have any trees. Please contact me. Thanks.
We love this.
What are the watering requirements?
If someone is going to break out in a rash from touching them, it will be me. I appreciate the warning.
I plan to go grab some “fruit” at a local cemetery. I am a serial propagator. This will be my first ginkgo.
Cool man. Thanks. I got three seeds from Roanoke downtown. I’m gonna just put them in pots outside for the winter though
Take a drink of beer every time he says "guys"!! You'll get hammered!
It’s going to take years for the trees here in my area to recover after Hurricane Helene. But we have to start somewhere.
Watering advice ?
I stratified a couple of seeds from a Southern Magnolia some months ago and went to check on them today in the fridge, I had actually completely forgotten about them lol One of them has a bit root already, about half an inch long. Should I plant it now, even if it's currently fall or should I just leave it there and wait for spring? They are not in soil, I guess I got lucky keeping them in a damp napkin sprinkled with cinnamon so they'd not rot.
Thankyou for the detailed video. Im going to try cold stratifying half my seeds and then just planting the others to see what happens
Easily washes off with soap and water.
❤ Thank you❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
❤ Super❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Very helpful 🙏 thank you!
Don’t tell me that a tree of heaven… it’s extremely invasive and such a bad tree for the US.. greet video but the first tree looked sketch. Would love to know the species
I heard that female (Ginkgo Biloba) Trees can have both male and female branches is that true . 🤔🌿🌲🤔 Or you can take a female and male tree and combined it . 🤔🌲🌿🤔 Would like to know if that is true . 🤔 I remember when I was younger that someone had a tree with four different types of apples . 🤔🌲🤔 Thank you for sharing . 🙂
Yes, sometimes a few branches will switch sex
Too bad my local park only has two female (Ginkgo Biloba) trees 🌲🌲 Can you use the branches from a female tree to clone it. 🤔🌿🤔 Thank you for sharing your information. 🙂 God bless the American people . 🙏

I have a sawtooth oak growing too close to my house. Is it possible to transplant? It's about 5 ft tall. My neighbor says the roots are too deep already. What's your opinion?
If I put the acorns in a moist substrate without covering them completely and simply put the pot in a semi-shade and put a few leaves on them, i.e. I recreated natural conditions, is there a chance that they will sprout in the spring or should I stick to the fridge method?
How did the saplings turn out..ff 4 years..
Great video and exactly what I needed. I have one question.....when is it safe to put them in the ground?
This tree can durvive for many years to come
We've got a male and female (I think) and I've never seen another one in my life besides the two at my home. I want to try and replant more!!

Trying this again for the 2nd year. Had zero results last time. So im hoping for the best. Today i separated the seeds in bags with soil and put them in fridge. I made sure air was squeezed out. Does it matter if bags are flat, laying down or standing ? Any other tips you can give me?
