Here is a perfect example of an unrestored bike, my Cagiva WMX 250 year 1988. The bike was made in Italy until 1989, it has a very powerfule engine, so aggressive, runs veru very strong!!! both WP suspensions, good handling. I've just done to the bike a few works for a safety, and I cleaned it very well...the bike has been used for low hours I think, the compression is very good, just one kick ...

Just starting that thing is cool but in trainers no way if it backfired it'd take your shin off ,Maicos 490 had a decompression valve and a little like bmx lever on handlebars for helping kickstarting

I had same bike. It had tons of power. But it didn’t turn like a Japanese bike.
I found the Cagiva have a very good handling and stability and I enjoyed riding it very much!! Nothing minor from a japanese bike for me, great bike 😉👍🏼🔝
Was it compatible without modifications? I want to buy an X3 for my 2kf, but in the specs there’s only compatibility with 1992+ models. Thank you
It was a silencer coming off from another unknown bike, I've just modified it to fit the 2kf. If the X3 now is available for the 1992 models onwards of XT 600, sure it won't fit the 2kf.

I always remember my dad showing me how to start his BSA 650 twin in his slippers😂, I was impressed to say the least. I also managed to master kick starting the beast as a young boy but I didn't take the slipper route
