1000m 1k ski erg sprint 2.49.7 world record skierg Nov 17
When you end your run/session/whatever...the worst thing is to collapse on ground or stand still. You gotta walk it out/through. Slowly. Just stand and walk. You just put your body through extreme and you gotta bring it down slow. Walk and breathe slow.
When you wear wrong shorts for demonstration :D Looks like they are torn across mid.
I can't pull 1:20 once ROFL. This guy does it for 1000m.... Even started at 1:16! Insane power.
thats siiiick. unbelivable. GJ !
Have you thought about losing 15 kg? you could be an actor or model bro. (no hom0).
Speaks volumes of what an achivement this is when in takes Mr. Hall a full 5 minutes to get to the camera and end the video.
oh look... a mini eddie hall :D
I’m gonna beat this
Seriously impressive. Whoever built them bricks is a tidy man also
This is phenomenal 🙌 wow wow wow that is UNBELIEVABLE!!
Hi, we love your SkiErg technique! We seem a lot of videos on SKiErg but found your techniques most efficient!
he-could-do-a-Ozympic-then-and-now-and-say-hes-Eddie.
Eddie-Halls-brother-looks-like-him-trimmed-up-a-bit.
Great effort. Curious to know your height and weight?
It is amazing that someone so muscular can maintain that much power output and such a high stroke rating for so long. Typically someone with that much muscle would become momentarily incapacitated from the extreme amount of lactic acid coursing through their body. Keeping splits under 120 for 3 250 splits is so impressive. I think he could beat his own record if he wanted to.
him and eddie have a massive cardio base, plus they are both just genetic freaks of nature. both used to swim i think aswell and then james took to rugby and eddie to strongman. truly great all rounders
Do you ever bolt them machines down? I’ve been getting back in shape after finding out that I used to row at record setting paces. I’m not as small as I used to be. When I start getting near a 1:20/500m pace the machines start walking and jumping all over the place.
Place a heavy dumbbell behind the front part (on the floor)
You’re a machine James👊👊👊 New Sub😤
This should have way more views, what an achievement
Impressive
sub 6 at 31spm 💀 unheard of, absolutely insane
I came back here to watch this again just to realize that anything is possible with discipline and hard work! An absolute mind boggling effort!! 💪🏻🚣🏻♀️👊🏻💯
The blood of the Hall family is a strong one indeed. Awesome stuff, James!
man goes like an entire second faster than my 100m during his 1000m lmao
Anyone else amazed at how his forehead and lips turn completely purple at his last split and as he recovers color comes back. Now that is some physiological change!
I though i was seeing things! 😂
Lmao this is wild bro. Pure savagery
I’m coming for your record James Hall
Fantastic effort big man, what a powerhouse!
Fantastic performance💪 What is your personal best in the 500m on the erg rower? And what are your best lifts in the bench press, squat and deadlift?
hey bro, i like to accelarate the rower with 3 fast rows at the start and only after that starting im starting to pull at steady pace. What do you thnik about this techinque, have you ever tried it and if yes why not use it? Does it burn you out too much in the start or is it only preference.
Take it from a math nerd with nary half your productive capacity, aided by the power of annoying hindsight. At that ferocious pace, a single split change is roughly 25 watts difference. If trying to cruise at a given split, say 1:19, you really only know your actual power output to within that margin ~ 3%. That's huge relative to how taxing on the body at a sustained red-line. With "perfect splits", your same work distributed evenly effectively could have gained about 2 watts, for a whopping 0.2 second better score! Even better if a slower start enables faster finish. If you've ever the notion to train like hell again and go for 2:40.0 like your kick-ass RowErg score, I'm thinking strategy =. crank it up to 700 watts the first interval, then back 'er down to 685 and hold. I imagine from pull to pull you could easily stay within 10 watts with the same mental effort as trying to hold a split. Either way, you know right away "ok, the machine sees 5 more watts than last one" - that's so much more granular than seconds.
With proper training you could row on the GB National Team. Great work!
he might sink the boat
No chance. Being good on an erg is just down to high strength. On a boat you are shifting both your weight and the boat which he would most certainly struggle with. The same applies with people cycling on a turbo trainer that are very big and strong; outside they can’t sustain the power because they’re too heavy and tired out rapidly.
No way!
@@jimjamthebananaman1 But what if he loses like 60 pounds, I am geniunely curious. You seem to know your stuff so I ask.
I just wonder if James would have gotten even better results if he had set up a pace boat with a 1m19.6s 500M pace, started a little bit faster with barely a lead, but only picking up the pace at the very end. For mere mortals, at least you could tell how realistic your efforts are.
he even stopped before the end
Unreal!
Ok but not doing the form properly should be going all the way down back up
Jeez! Have to build a hell of a boat to put up with that “catch, drive, finish” let alone his weight!!!
Steve Redgrave was heavier than James when he was winning everything
This guy remind anybody else of Eddie Hall?
yeah his brother
fantastic, i m 60 and aim for under 6.50, i have 6.53 now, almost a minute behind this:))
that's already super super tough
Congrats James !! You are a “Beast” too !! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 Cheers from Athens Greece 🇬🇷
definitely take a couple seconds off if you paced it better
That's your opinion. Not mine. Thanks for watching
Skierg is no joke. Just a good test of fitness
Cool
Your friends should have been shouting louder!
Full respect
I’d be ecstatic with his last segments split time as my 500. Outstanding endurance on a long sprint. This was power!
hell yeah. nice work bro
What setting is your resistance on ?
In the video, towards the end, you can see it's set on 8.
Totally awesome, what a great row James !
Same last name & voice as Eddie Hall 😂
This is what 93% of a horse power for 2+ minutes look like. Massive effort!
definitely one of my goals to get under 3min
