HUGE DIRT BURNOUTS WITH POSI - 1972 Shorty Chevy Van Project: New Brakes
In this video I will show you progress on the 1972 shorty van. I rebuilt the front brakes and cleaned up the front suspension a lot. Then I take it out to see its braking and tire burning abilities. I did attemot to take it on the hiway but 4 out of the 5 lugnuts fell off a wheel and the tires are not round anymore from sitting. Next will be cleaning, painting and fixing up the engine to get it running healthy. Also, it will be getting a full restoration in the following videos. Today, I pull a one owner 1972 g10 out of the bushes and get it running and driving after sitting for almost 30 years. It has a 307 Small block, auto transmission, and a lot of rat nests. I plan on fully restoring this van and you'll see it here in upcoming videos. Thanks for watching!

I'm fixin' to build one just like it. Thanks for the video. Oh, by the way, that sliding bottom plate is a great idea. It combines a controllable air source and a way to dump ashes. The horizontal rods is another great idea. They're heavy enough not to turn bright red and collapse.

Cool to see a 72, looks like it could use a dawn dishsoap, and green scrubber pad bath yet,,, Been collecting 64 to 70 vans my self, I do have a 77 with glass in the rear, 6cyl 3 on the tree, it has a issue of dying under a hard pull like going up hill, to figure out, idles perfect thou... then a 65 sportvan im replacing clutch rod linkages, but is a daily driver Then a 67 gmc that needs the same as what your doing, going thru everything, Just picked up a 68 last weekend, buried upto the axles in mud, was in se Missouri, a 6popper 3 on tree, had no motor or tranny, Some more projects, and some parts vans too Got 14 vans in total now I think, lol Definitely be watching for more videos on this one,,, awesome find!

The power wash made a big difference!!
Wouldn't suggest using a pressure washer on seals and other areas not meant to see anything near that type of pressure. Makes a lot more work for ya, and surely creates a bigger hole where there might of just been a smaller one.

I wish someone could build a really nice rocket stove with a damper,wood shoot door and an ashtray seasoned with linseed oil,not just a plain and simple stove that is spray painted.
