Great Models. Is the model of the 1836 version to exact scale dimension wise? I am not an authority by any means but the modek seems shorter and narrower to me.

In 1836 the church did NOT have windows on what turned out to be a second floor. The second floor and windows were added long after the battle.

The model was incredible. Although I am not a native Texan I did live in Texas for a year and a half. My son lived there for several years. Even though he had warned me before our visit about what had been done with the Alamo grounds I was still stunned and horrified that the site had basically been destroyed for commercial reasons. It was if Gettysburg or Normandy had been overrun by streets and buildings. Evidently today's Texans are more respectful of the site than the previous generations who literally destroyed it. Shame on them.

I really appreciate the effort there ..wonderfull job .but there was no taco bell curvature on top .

It's not to scale or even an irregular shape like the real Alamo. Its semblance is like a shoe box, but it's a good effort.

Great presentation! Years ago I read a column mentioning a pair of old, large wooden gates found at a ranch near the Medina River. Historians believe gates this size and age would have come from Alamo compound. Have you or anyone else heard of this find and what ever became of them? Once noticed, I don't think the valuable artifact would be forgotten.

It is wonderful to see young children this interested in the history of our great State of Texas. I don't know what School d District your children attend, but I for one think that all the others should take a direct lesson on the importantance of our heritage. Is this to precise scale? The figures seem too large. The many animated representations have been misusing those damned wide angle lenses. Reckon I better go take a look in person. Nice model, all in all.

Looks great. Im always surprise to hear how meaningless the Alamo was to where even the US military rented for storage. For many years after they had it, The Alamo was a meat storage and haven for the homeless.

This fantastic model that you created gives one an idea of the tremendous job the defenders faced covering such a large perimeter.

I have always wanted To do this in fact i am JUST started gathering up the "players" from both sides..I've been concentrating on the "king and country" remember the Alamo figures..i know is a long uphill climb for me .What figures did you use if i may ask? ...i have seen buildings online and i think i will focus on trying to "piece" something together.Again great job and thanks!
