2022 KTM 500 exc-f Trail Riding
A buddy and I hit cedar creek motorsports trail in twin lake Michigan. He rides a 16 Ktm 500 exc-f and I'm on a 22 Ktm 500 exc-f. It had been raining all day and we thought what a perfect day to ride a sandy trail.

Here's a before and after of the stock muffler that came on my street legal dual sport 22 KTM 500excf. I swapped out the stock for a Muffler for one of the best looking mufflers out. And it sounds so much better now. I did the FMF Factory 4.1 titanium blue with carbon tip. Also at the same time I swapped the taillight and blinkers for the tacomoto.co tidy tail and Enduroplate.

Just a short clip of me riding my KTM 300xcw around my backyard. I replaced the stock silencer with a FMF turbinecore 2. I think is sounds so awesome.

I was riding my 22 Ktm 300xcw. There was a little frost and lots of water puddles. But still fun for this time of year.

I originally had a deposit on a yamaha ttr 110 and was going to put my 7 year old on it. but the date kept getting pushed back and my son said he would like to get into doing hare scrambles. So we decided to go the KTM 65 route. I didn't start to record after he finally got going after probably 10 times. Also I got my 4 year old on the honda crf 50 now.

I needed to get a silencer that was a spark arrestor, and I like the looks of the FMF turbinecore 2. so I figured might as well go that route instead of a end cap replacement.

I have a 16 husqvarna fe 501 that changed the exhaust on. I swapped out to a full fmf factory 4.1 with mega bomb header pipe. video doesn't do it justice. The bike sounds so good.

Towing my 5th wheel thats 15,000lbs loaded with all our crap for camping, and Towing my LS swapped jeep wrangler Tj on the car trailer thats about 5,000lbs combined. My 6.4 is tuned and deleted with gearhead tunes. I run it in the street performance tune Towing and daily driving.

New to diesel trucks anyone know where I can get a tuner with delete tunes preloaded ?
They are a unit of a truck as long as you do the proper the maintenance and do the right delete I have my 08 with 232,000 miles on it and it has done a great
Thinking about swapping a 6.0 into my TJ I have an nv3550 as well how is it holding up
Seemed to be holding up good when I sold it.
One of my friends drove a 2009 F250 Lariat as his first truck. His dad owns a diesel performance shop and had it deleted before it even hit 20k miles. 15 years and 242k miles later that truck is still running on the original engine and has never had any big issues, just all the small things that fail at that milage. His dad still owns it to this day and uses it as a shop truck.

No
People in here arguing about engines. All engines and powertrains have their issues. Some more than others. But it’s luck of the draw. Every engine is unique. They all have different tolerances the day they’re made at the factory. I had a Volkswagen Jetta where that model year was a hot topic on threads and forums for issues. Burning oil, timing failures, turbo problems. Almost everyone I knew with one had issues. Mine went 10 years strong without a single issue. Most reliable vehicle I’ve ever owned. I think it comes down to how you drive and maintain it. I drove mine like a grandpa and within its designed limits and at times overdid the maintenance.
Not one year after he posted this video he's got a different truck in the driveway. Looks like a '11-'16 truck. These engines are garbage and turning up the tune and towing 20,000 lbs will ensure a quick demise to the 6.4.

I have not pulled the plug to see for sure. But seems to run better than it did in stock form.
I must say this is the first time ive ever seen a 7.3 keep up with a 6.0
Let's be honest here. We buy these things for the cool factor. Nobody wants to be seen with a stock exhaust and that's just the way it's always been.
How in gods name did you manage to get it on there? I have a 2023 and it’s too big for my bike.

I lost it on the taco tidy tail, I did the exact same thing, put long screws in rear and bubbled my fender 😂 little heat and a roller got them flat again. Very nice exhaust! I’m looking at the exact same one. Much of a power gain? And how’s the noise compared to stock?
It's quite a bit louder. But not obnoxious! As far as power I did a few other things at the same time and it definitely opened it up a lot. Definitely recommend 👌

Idk, I don't take mine on the highway.
Just bought a 2010 ccsb a couple weeks ago. Out every diesel I’ve owned. My favorite was the 6.0 because of the sound, and the 6.4 because Of it’s power. Though it doesn’t sound bad, I’m still Just getting used to not waking the neighbors up every morning lol they probably think I disappeared! Gone before sunrise back after dark lol.
Why would you deactivate it?
So when your stuck and can't get the wheel speed you need to get out of whatever your stuck in.

That exact reason. I wanted to keep it a manual like it came from the factory.
I was in a snow drift with another suv, and a truck whose transmission gave out trying to pull out the other SUV, it is currently December 23rd, 2022, at 9:33 pm, in Springfield Ohio. There's about 2 feet of snow in some places, and I got off a 12 hour at 6pm... And my house is a 10 minute walk across a field from where I am... We just now got unstuck IF I WAS OLD ENOUGH TO DRINK, I'D DOWN A WHOLE BOTTLE OF JACK AFTER THIS!

What was your average mpg at 75mph with that weight?

In my 6.4 I get 18.1mpg on highway towing 8,000 up hill so yeah,,hopefully that gives you an idea

I love towing heavy in my 6.4 powerstroke on a Sunday morning on the highway listening to gospel county music and rolling coal on jerks ,,and I love it when the sun shines on the windshield reflecting hatters as I go rumbling down the road with no issues.

Yeah that’s what I meant haha. I’ve had a lot of powerstrokes but been scared of the 6.4. Now that money isn’t an issue I’m trying to find a clean 08-10. Your input helps I really don’t want to buy one to find out they are gutless lol.

EGR/RES Delete with a tune and you're golden with a 6.4...beast motor. But make daym sure you change the oil every 5k regardless.....
That's should be said for all diesels, oil is cheap might as well change it

I got the clutch, flywheel, and pressure plate along with the bell housing adapter from Novak
Kevin, Nice jeep! I’m about to put the same engine in my 2003 Rubicon. I also have the nv3550 transmission. Did you have to shift your tran/transfer case fwd or back? It would be pretty slick to leave them where they’re at so no drive shaft mods are needed.
I think it had to shift an inch and half. Just don't remember witch way. I feel like it went forward... 🤷
