Look realistically the idiots are prevalent that’s why the private heresy community is where it’s at. Communities grow with inclusion but I also think that’s because the enthusiasts come at it as historical narrative and theme etc in comparison to those that play solely to play the game. I painted lorgar 2 weeks ago. The base is quite appealing as far as the carvings. The actual figurine is rather uninspiring though. You have to figure out a way to make him stand out. A nice glowing effect from whichever direction could help. I chose a red/orange hue from below, by 45 degrees towards the head. If you have an airbrush, it is not too complicated to achieve. Have fun with him!

I have maybe 6 knights in various states of assembly, only ever "finished" one of them, but I put it off because I couldn't find decals anywhere for House Caesarean at least for the big knights, the little ones seem to have decals available. Might have to try out a custom decal maker for the big knights like you did. Once I get through with my Mechanicum and Iron Warriors and 5 other Legions I am currently dabbling in.

Not really it's the leman russ stc that's mostly farm equipment all "guard" tanks are . Know the plan was when the crusade ended all solar gear was to be handed down to planetary pdf troop there gear was to be repurchased and the legion stuff to solar.

This has been such a great series to follow because you're always sharing SOMETHING you've worked on, even when you have bad weeks you feel you're not really progressing, you've still come on to share how it's going and any difficulties. This is really helpful for inspiration I think because every hobbyist is going to have times like these. The total collection looks fantastic, and it's so cool to see how cohesive the force looks on the table together even though you've been painting it over a long period. I remember being also impressed by how early you launched into Forge World kits which many newcomers get put off by. All in all it's a great looking army that you definitely deserve to feel proud of, and I look forward to seeing each new entry in the log!

Im looking at this thinking that I should've just stuck with one legion army and focused with that .... Expanding into the scope of a legions lore as opposed to other legions specialist troops .... But then I would miss out on some great models How do you motivate yourself for the painting? And how long did it take you to settle on a scheme

Looking good. And for some reason, I can see this unit being a trailer of a Rhino. If you reverse the direction and fuse it with a Rhino, would that give you a better shape then that hover rhino? Heh, I'm know wondering two things, one, can that U section be used for a cargo crate and two, if you use it as a trailer behind a Rhino, like a Snow-Cat, could a Sisters Soritas rocket organ fit on top? I can even see it being refitted as a Recovery-Tank, while a Rhino has been converted to a mobile workshop. Same for the Sicaran(?) battle tank and the land raider, if with the land raider as a trailer, instead. Maybe something for a moving objective marker? Anyway, happy building.

Some real impressive stuff! Your collection has easily eclipsed mine and I have been in this hobby for a long time 😂 But what is honestly more impressive and contagious is your excitement and motivation for what you are doing! I love your attitude with many of your units that aren't traditionally considered all that strong (not that Heresy should be) but that excitement motivates me to put some of my lesser used units on the table and just enjoy them for what they are! I'll get back to watching a few more of your updates now! Cheers for sharing your enthusiasm and hobby!

I've been going through your videos from the beginning and I've been enjoying them so cheers. So an artillery unit counts as t5 till the guns are gone if they run or fall back out of combat they abandon the guys and from that point on are no longer an artillery unit. always kill 3 pricks b4 putting wounds on the guns also the guns give the +1Ld but lose it when they abandon the guns always remember the unit is relentless so move 4 massive inches lol. Snipers can shoot the crew. The guns model counts as 4 models so 1 gun 2 crew =6 my night lords always use artillery!

So, I'm going to talk about your Locutaros squad thingy because you have got a lot of rules slightly wrong there buddy. 1 - First of all regards the charge range possible here. Your range is 6" for the Spartan, 12" for the jump pack and then 2D6+5" (to a maximum of 12"). So your effectively moving 18", then rolling your dice to see if you get to your enemy. Which is 5" + 2D6(max 12"). Works the same way but its important. Min 25" Max 30" charge. So yeah essentially the same BUT... 2 - The Librarian Telepathy. This has to be done at the start of the phase. So you can not stop the enemy unit movement reacting back , as the Librarian starts the phase in the Spartan. 3 - The Locutaros get +1 to hit. Not +1 WS,. So with the Logos, they are at WS6 and then +1 to hit if the charged unit has been shot by another Ultrmarine unit. It's marginally better than +1WS. (I think). You are likely hitting nearly everything on 2's. 4 - Duellist edge is only for challenges. So your init. 4 standard still. They get 4 attacks each on the charge. (Searge 1 extra but please give him a TH! It's cheap on this unit and insanely good) Regards tactics, it honestly feels like a waste of a Spartan to me. Fill that bad boy with something else, like the Suzerain (again give at least some of them TH). My 3k all comers list has 2 Proteus with A Cataphractii Command Squad with Praetor in one, Suzerain in another and a Locutaros squad. I move them in to position turn 1, then use the Logos turn 2 and TRY to get all 3 squads charging something at WS6. I think you will enjoy the Locutaros on the board. They give the Ultramarines some much needed mobility which we struggle with as an army in general. Kratos are starting to look really really nice. Looking forward to building one of those. p.s. first time I used a scalpel, I was like 'How sharp is it? Wonder if I can clean up this mod...WHOOSH. Slipped down the model and sliced my thumb open to the bone. I feel for ya man.

One of the best things about your RUclips channel is that you show your progress through the hobby. I found your channel near May and just had to watch your videos gradually from the start as it was genuinely fun to watch. Probably got through 10 episodes a week, catching up eventually. Your uploads motivate me to get back to my Iron Warriors when I know I should be working on those instead of starting yet another legion, which I get to 1500 or 2000 points before my ADHD kicks in and get me going on Solar or Mech only to forget my Iron Warriors. Something about popping in to see you are at 15k (Crazy!) for one legion reminds me that I need more boys in hazard stripes.

That Moritat is sweet! What an amazing army your building there. Oo 20 Nemesis destroyers? Sweet. What bits/models did you use for them? Get yourself an assault squad pack (jump packs), and give them all power swords to use as a Locutaros Storm Squad. (have some fun with the models, maybe use some different heads if you can). TH on the Searge. I get such a lot out of them in games. AHHHH your on it in your pile of shame. Good Good! I'm doing some building at the minute. My pile of shame is 20 Mkiii (10 plasma guys and 10 Rotar cannons i think, Kratos, Scorpius, 2 Leviathon Dreads, 2 Contemptors, 10 Praetorians and 10 Locutaros. LOL. Another thing, get yourself a second Leviathon (ranged). Either magnetize the arms OR if you cant be bothered build them as ranged/melee mix. Easily the best way to run them in games. You just walk them forward shooting shit then charge anything that comes close and much their face! Melee only ones arent that great in play and you will regret it I think, they just don't have the same threat. Side note, got a 3750 pt game against Dark Angels this weekend, and i'm running a Baneblade! Can't wait. Will probably post a run down of the list up here as the game progresses. Gonna be a bloodbath!

Thé way you’ve built your army is an inspiration to the way heresy should be played! Just going for rule of cool and trying out tons of fun units so you’re always doing something cool and different! In such a dread and specialist unit based meta seeing something like this just touches my heart man you rule!

While you've painted your whole army, I've managed to paint... three models. I have built a metric crap ton of Ultramarines just waiting to get painted though. Fulmentarus needed a nerf, but it was a bit too harsh. Maybe some day they'll be adjusted again. Have you thought about building some other legacy units, like the Locutarus storm squad? On paper, they look brilliant rules wise.
