idol school - where are they now?
idol school was an mnet survival show that aired july to september 2017. the show took 41 idol 'students' and formed a 9-member permanent girl group.
operating in much the same way as the produce series, idol school put the girls through vocal and dance training to eventually whittle down the contestants into the final 9 members who would eventually debut as fromis_9, one of the leading 4th gen girl groups.
like many mnet survival shows, idol school was not without controversy, and faced similar vote manipulation rumours to the produce series and was investigated by the seoul metropolitan police agency, who concluded there had indeed been voter fraud and rigging.
