All 12 cones scored on high junctions along with 2 parks gives a 100 point auto, something that has only been done 8 times in competition.

Isn't controlling junctions illegal?
Our pole guide, which is what I'm assuming you're talking about, is accepted by the referees. The radius of the center is slightly larger than that of a normal cone which is the minimum amount. The outtake basket has a gap inside of it so that it never grasps the pole. We never have more than one point of contact with a junction.
That extension bro 💀

Thank you very much! Your outtake basket inspired us to switch to one. It's a shame we won't get to meet you guys at worlds :(

Autonomous is where tournaments are won, well done!
100% agree. A consistent auto is invaluable. Your 1+8 is awesome by the way!
Super impressive!
Way to think through the process. Reduce the driving time and complexity to score faster.
Lot of helpful information and anecdotes shared during this video. Interesting and well done!
Great video, have some disagreement on alliance vs shared. When we ran double alliance we ended up filling the high level really fast, and ended up running mid level. The mid level is the same points as shared, so it appears one bot cycling each hub at really high levels seems the move, In matches with a much lower ranking partner Or under heavy shared defense I totally agree with the few on shared swap to alliance strat
Great video had a lot of pleasure
RIP blue
That is awesome! Well done!
That would suck spending the entire match bottomed out. Now I am afraid for our robot!
I'm curious how you got 81 points... I counted it up and got 70. 80 if they counted the autonomous parking as in
(10) Duck delivered in auton (18) 3 level 3 freight in teleop (10) alliance hub balanced in endgame (42) 7 ducks
@@spidernh see? 80, not 81 (even if I got one bit mixed up)
Are you allowed to rebalance the shipping hub like they do at 1:51?
I believe so its worth points for it to be balanced so it its your teams shipping hub you can do whatever you want to it i believe
@@evanoel1144 you can't move it, but rocking it should be fine
For central Oklahoma our head referee told us the robot can not be touching the carousel while a duck is being placed on it.
Oklahoma ref be saying a lot of things from what I've heard 😂
That is a rule. Technically a lot of these points are illegal
All we have found is that the drive team cannot be touching the carousel as it is in motion (GS 9 h) but did not see any mention of the robot not being able to touch it while the duck is being placed.
Oops, misread, yeah. Still putting the ducks on while in motion though
@@the_minecraft_destroyer If you look at the screw heads in the center you can see that the carousel is not moving while the ducks are being placed.
Looks like monte carlo localization to me
I fully have no clue how that works and its amazing.
i think its a distance sensor and then color sensor maybe just a hypothesis
hold up how does thaat work?
YO! Thats super awesome good work!!
But how?
That blew my mind
Me too
@@proxima_fish me three
Would you mind sharing the source code for this? 🙇🏻♂️🙇🏻♂️🙇🏻♂️
Its using the 4 distance sensors on the sides of the robot to localize
Another robot getting the way tho
I'm wondering if those are I2C devices. Do you guys get a pretty fast loop time using 4 of them?
@@theronamaralikit917 Im pretty sure they use the distance sensors to get there position and then use odometry to actually move
the robot knows where it is by subtracting where it isn't from where it was
Dang that's some next level stuff.
Are you using a camera for localization?
Are you guys using VSLAM?
it still baffles me that you guys didnt win it all last year
What is your drivetrain setup?
What do you guys use for navigation
From the video and looking at their past robots, I'm pretty sure that they use dead wheel odometry. You can see their red odometer pod
seems like it is over 30 seconds. Is it a work in progress?
The routine is about 29.5 sec.
@@krakenpinion oh wow nice. It seemed like above 30 from the video. What motors do you guys use on your drive btw?
Epic.
3:10
Very nice auto.
Why are you just now posting this?
do you all use continuous string for the mineral pick-up arm or cascading
It's cascading based off the fact that they all go out together instead of one at a time
DrizzleAndPour it’s actually continuous
@@joshpeterson6672 the horizontal one is continuous and the vertical one cascading, right?
DrizzleAndPour no they are both continuous
Wow, it works again! Lol
how tf yall so smooth
Lots of programming experience and driver practice :)
