That song was meant for Marlon! And yes, he wasn’t a singer, but by golly, he knew what to do with a song! Love this movie! He was incredible in it! Watch Marlon as Mark Antony in the film “Julius Caesar”! Yes, he was even right by golly for Shakespeare! He is one of the greatest, yet not acknowledged, yes again I’ll say it, one of the greatest of all male actors! Not many actors could go from actor, to “pop” singer, to Shakespeare!
This movie is a master class in acting from Marlon. He is cooly addicted to adrenaline, confident, honest with himself, quietly amused with Sarah and compassionate with Adelaide. What a ride!
Brando simply lights up the the room when he enters - sometimes its so bright - you only see his smile!

He never should have been allowed to sing...
I still dunno why they didn't switch Frank and Marlon's roles. Marlon's edginess would have made him the better Nathan, as speak/singing was kinda in the personality of Nathan Detroit, where as Frank's silky voice reflected Sky's innocence (not to mention Luck Be a Lady is already a signature song for Sinatra)
