what is the best grit of sandpaper to get the fastest foil? from what i see polishing is not good for maintaining speed.

I'd be interested in the kit but wondering why a better foam board such as the pink insulating board want used, there's a far less chance of it breaking vs the white styrofoam.

I sanded w 60 , 100, and wrap the rails w 150 gr sanding screen, but 150 sand paper will prob get you a stronger resin bond to foam than 220. Great idea w 60/40 rails w pencil. 👍 8:13

do you think you could make a back wing that works kind of like the Beta Freefoil? If you could make the board itself smaller and made of foam you could attract a whole new audience of people that enjoy freefoiling. I can't afford commercial foils so good work!

Though this method creates very strong bond, it has some disadvantages: 1 - it is long time to wait. Also there is a risk it will slide aside. 2 - very high risk the epoxy squished out close to the surface, creating hard seam that will make problems during shaping. 3 - you do not need a bond stronger than styrofoam itself. So, what was working the best for me - spray glue 3M +77. It is fast, it is strong. And it is seamless! I was able even to hot wire through it with virtually no resistance.

Might be better with fatter end as a bow. Stern because back pressure which makes a boat slower. Have you tested?

I'm building a couple blanks after my holiday work season slows down and I'll have to try this. My initial plan was to use loctite pl300 because I figured it would sand about as well as the foam.

I would like to get the 80ltr build kit. I ride Armstrong so I am looking into moving the mast track forward a little. Having knee surgery on both knees (replacement). I think this is a good opportunity to build a couple of boards…

Hi is better glassing with the core vertically and do the junction in the middle, because the stressing part of fatigue is the edge,i know is difficult but get strong,is better to use inside the glass with two layer of carbon -kevlar
