Hi there If i want to become a diamond installer here in Massachusetts where is the nearest training facility and how long is a course to become certified?
@@sirhc07 great question hop on Mitsubishi Electric Trane Metus.com and find train centers near you. I believe in Boston they have a primary trading facility.
Ive had my 24k btu mr cool for over 7 years in the harse Houston climate. I dont know if it matters but i had installed by a licensed proffesional. Ytd not a single problem, i guess i got lucky. Biggest challenge, is getting a contractor to service it.

Great work like your style!… the only thing I will say is they tell you in the install manual not to put a fitting on top of a drain tail… or maybe I didn’t see it right lol correct me if I’m wrong ✌️✌️
@@glennwaldripjr2229 Thank you for the comment boss. Jared
When you added the 3rd zone did you have to remove the refrigerant before you added the linesets to the branch box? I’m adding two zones to my system
@@gott4200 Yes you must or it will vent everywhere

Can it be installed on a vaulted ceiling, or does it has to be 100% horizontal?
It must be a flat ceiling
So what you're saying is I cant just DIY this?
If you don’t have the tools and experience I wouldn’t recommend doing it. Hire a professional
Great Video!!! Best tool ever made! Do you have a recommended supplier for ProPress Fittings? Can you leave Factory Cap on Branch Box if one Zone is not used? On a 48H2i, hoe much can you go over the Rated Number and do you recommend that? I plan on adding a rarely used Garage Cassett. Do you have a Donation Link to your page?
Yes, you can leave the cap on (48k oversized) Yes, you can go over, but not a lot. You need to do a DSB to see if it will work or not (BEFORE YOU INSTALL) I don't have a donation page, but thank you.
Awesome video! I truly believe in neat and professional work. God bless, keep up the great work!
@@nadeeneugene5565 thank you
EXCELLENT video..
Thank you
I have 5 of these cassettes installed for about 4/5 yrs. They are very efficient. But I do wish the 4 way cassette was designed to fit between joist. I understand they have the feature to allow a vent to be branched off. This would be great for master baths. I also just think blowing air in 4 directions instead of one would be more efficient. Great video as always gentlemen.. 👏🏽👏🏽
The discharge of the air has nothing to do with the comfort level. The magic is all in the Return. The supply does not matter. Air conditioning is the process of heat removal
The video didn't show you connecting the refrigerant lines to the cassettes. The first cassette in your video was in an open area so I'm curious how you hid the lines plus the condensate drain line.
Thank you for the video! How did you add the third head? Do you need to pump down the system, do a pressure test, and vacuum it again?
I'm not sure im asking the right questions, but..... did you use a special mini split ductless unit for indoor use. I alway thought they had to be placed outside. The one job you did where the home owner didn't want lines outside, so you ran them in the garage . Could he have put everything inside?
@@shieldingshepherd3080 the outdoor unit needs to be outside.

Do you have a video series showing how to pressure tests and vacuum with a branch box installed

Just at the unit
Is there a certain setting on the branch box you need to use when you are pulling an evacuation or are all valves already opened up from factory?

Thank you for the information. And thank you for answering some of the other questions. I had some of the same questions. Great Job!
Hello, What is this unit's model number? Thanks.
@@seventwenty4569 What unit? They have hundreds of them.
@@ductlessplushvac I meant the one you were showcasing.
can you put this in a cathedral ceiling does insulation go over the unit? does it use room air as a source of air. will air come and go around or through the unit when not running. Does it heat and or just cool?
It is like all A/C units it uses the room's air to remove the heat. And yes they also heat.
Show me the antenna effect in the installation guide use nylog all fittings with double flare and that High Press cost 3 Grand the more you Tinker with a plumbing it easier to leak Montgomery Scott
@@TAGUPNBLUE That's what the techs from Mitsubishi told me.
Thank you. All three units seem to blow air in the same direction. Could you please explain why it was done this way as opposed to pointinting the middle unit in the opposite direction. Thanks.
after 34 years of installing and designing systems we've found the best ways to distribute the air to make the space comfortable. Thus was the best way to get the convection to move the air back tonthr returns
I have 5 ceiling cassettes, they look great. I absolutely didn’t want holes drilled into the sides of my home with lines run along it to the condenser. My 5 lines all come from 2 holes in the attic. I have one wall mounted separate unit in the basement.. All Mitsubishi. Love the system over conventional whole house HVAC..
@@tjinytjiny6615 thank you
How do you change the filter on these? Mine is having mildew smell for some reason and I didn’t know there’s filter up there other than the usual intake filter
You only have an intake filter
Thank you! Good starting point to further research. I like ceiling cassette. In your opinion does the cassete moves the air efficiently in a large room? I have both daikin and mitsubishi. Daikin - 4 port unit, one wall mount unit had to be replaced within 3 years due to leak, otherwise i like it. Mitsubishi is 15k btu one to one wall mount with small outdoor unit, cools 20x50 area in less than an hour with fan set to only two bars :). I would be interesting to know if a comparable ceiling cassete unit will be able to do that.
Ceiling units are the best
Looks like a great job. Love my Mitsubishi Mini Split HVAC..
Thank you soooo much! Jared

I have 5 MLZ Cassettes and never knew what the 1-2 lights meant. Thanks. Great system..

Hello, I am looking in getting a 5 zone Mitsubishi system with ceiling cassettes Between 1 way and 4 way, what is the main difference between the square 4 way and the rectangular ez-fit ceiling units and which one do you prefer?

Great info! 😮 Looking to install a heat pump in Colorado in a cold climate on a new build. It’s about 1000 sqft 2bed 2bath. Would you have a recommendation for a system that could also use solar power to offset the cost of heating? Thanks!
@@kcstark We have a lot of customers that are Solar and 100% Electric and they have told me the heating bill can be $0.00 $50.00 a month for heat.
If he couldn't rotate it he would have rotate it at all. Probably just didn't tighten it well. I agree with you that most contractors suck when comes to make it quality. I am installing myself Inverter system with new coil and new set of lines. Here is a. tip I came up with: I am putting 7/8 with 3/4 insulation copper line inside a 2.5" PVC pipe from Home Depot. Only where it exposed to outside. No need to mini split covers as they have gaps.
@@beta6024 I've used that method many time people don't like it as much as line hide. And it also a lot harder ro get to the pipe in a solid pipe
How would you heat and cool a restroom space?
@@timgroh8616 not with a ductless unit unless the room was very large. You can use in-floor heating. You typically don't require conditioning in a bathroom. If you take a shower you will heat it. And if you have a bath exhausted it will bring in air from the living space and totally keep the room comfortable.
