    Did so much jetting on our 23. Y4 was a disappointment. I’ll try the clip position to see the difference. I’ll gather the parts you got here and hope for the best. Thanks for the vid, sucks that Yamaha did this to these 125’s and haven’t made it right yet. If you stay in the pipe it’s rideable. The jd kit did the same thing as the y4 kit for me. Seems others don’t have such a bad lean bog. Ours would bog to death, literally shut down.

      lol. You’re right. I need to ride it like a proper 250 and shift it. It makes great power mid to top. I’ll keep these changes in case I come out of a turn in too high a gear.

    air filter looks a little heavy on the oil, I usually get some shop towerls wrap it in them and squeeze, insude and then outside. Less splooge getting sucked into the intake

      Low end power is noticeably increased but it is not a drastic difference. It is still not as much as my 19’ YZ250F. I do like the 24’ more and can live with the low end power it has. Midrange is great. Top is good.

    Have you tried the JD jetting kit? I ended up buying it since I figured waiting on the 6.0 slide and CCL needle might be a few weeks. Bike runs amazing I may have to try the diggers specs later.

    • @chintzygarage2819
      @chintzygarage2819 26 дней назад

      I have tried just about every jetting spec but the JD kit on the 22-25 because I had heard mixed reviews on it and those that have tried both said they preferred the Digger jetting. I will have to try it for myself at some point. I had their kit on our 19’ and it worked well. Wish they would stamp their needles. I like to know what needle is my starting point if I want to make a change rather than just follow their jetting instruction process.

      Yeah the 4th clip got rid of the lean bog for the most part for me as well. That was the best jetting I tried with the stock #7 slide. I think you will like the #6 slide and CCL needle better if you can find one. It just finally runs like I always thought it should. Good luck.

      @@simby787 I installed the entire kit. It runs so good! Im at 500-600ft above sea level here in the states and it’s 90-100f in north Carolina where I live. I started with the smallest main jet. My plug still looked a little rich but I’m fine with that. I ran 40:1 maxima k2 and 93 pump gas on the first test ride and I didn’t feel or hear any detonation. I’m a washed up 35 year old A rider. But I usually run c12 or something equivalent 50/50. But it did run great on pump fuel on a mx track. Thanks for the information I really appreciate it.

    Mate. Thanks plenty for these vids and all the tips and details with specs We have just upgraded our sons 2021 SX 50 which he outgrew both in his body size and ability to a 2019 SX 65 with 50 hours on it We have done a top end rebuild and only a decal sticker package to spruce it up and have a personal touch for him I might grab a new seat also with frame protectors I really need to start a log of specs and tips which I do for all our bikes and these vids are a fantastic starting point When we have the bike delivered next week ready for race season , do you have a tooling kit and consumables parts list I could copy into my bike log book ? Any help is very much appreciated mate . We are down here in Sydney Australia and both my son Tyler and I have had a blast watching your content all round. Thanks again mate . The info you have shared is invaluable and certainly saves me a heap of time and research in compiling our bike log book and maintanence journal. Cheers mate John

  • @lway8545

    So before you buy a 85.ktm. they use the worst rear master cylinder that has ever been put on a bike. Formula brakes. 70s and 80s Japanese brakes use better parts than this. They use mountain bike parts on a 85 105 for rear brakes. All they do is leak air. So since they can't be honest about the garbage they put on their bike, we will. Put the 125 brakes on if in competition. Again the worst ever rear master cylinder that has ever been put on a bike. All it does is leak air. And the conversion is around 1k

Saw this video and swapped the needle with the clip placed in the second slot and swapped the pilot from the stock 48 to a 45 and it really smoothed it out just like you suggested. Thanks for posting this tech tip. It would of taken me a whole day of playing around with it to get it just right instead of riding.
