Awesome video, I'm a huge Tigers fan and was 13 during the 2006 season. Mags walk off will always be a core memory for me. It was fun to relive some of it. Unfortunately for us we had a great season that ended with a whimper. Earned a like and subscribe from me! 👍🏻⚾

The 2002 World Series will stand out to me because a coworker said there was religious significance to a battle between Angels and Giants. I slightly grinned out of politeness, but he responded that, no he meant that in all seriousness. So that will always be the World Series that opened my eyes to the problem of Religious Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.

If you Thought the 2006 World Series was bad, the 2007 World Series was even worse.

Cards and tigers won in the 80's ...cards had way better overall history then previous teams ...this wasn't the braves getting over the hump although the cards did finally deliver after a few tough endings or the yanks winning finally again after 18 years then the best team ever and a repeat dominant playoff run and then a three peat with a weaker team or the d backs upsetting them in a classic game 7 after 9/11 or the marlins winning so soon after birth or beating the yanks or the red sox angels and white sox ending curses in big markets or a back to back like blue jays or toronto winning in 92 their first or the a's dodgers twins wining...this was the most boring matchup since 90

Baseball kinda peaked from 95 to 04 maybe into 05 maybe 96 instead of 95 is when it began....06 was kinda a downfall era for 3 years in world series baseball interest...

To be fair the cards were the first non yankee beating nl title winner since 97 so people were less interested in the series cause it didn't have yankees or red sox or chicago even and 05 playoffs sucked and and detroit besting ny was seen as boring compared to previous losses the yanks had...at least the d backs series was fun

cards a legacy franchise in the nl at the time winning after 24 years with prime albert was special since the past couple nl winners since the mid 90's were new teams marlins twice even the braves were not an atlanta specific legacy team until they won it all and the fact pug and jv were on the tigers makes it iconic looking back with two great managers...

I think its fair to say the 2006 NLCS very much overshadowed the World Series from the sheer epicness of game 7. The WS wasn't that bad though. At least it wasn't a sweep. Now the Cardinals in the 2011 world series is probably one of the best series of all time.
