Jim Sconyers, Jr. is an artist in a variety of media, including printmaking, photography, digital media, and sculpture. In 2002, he received his MFA in Printmaking with Distinction from Indiana University's Henry Radford Hope School of Fine Arts. Since that time, his work has been selected for both national and international exhibition.
How to Apply Aquatint Spray to an Intaglio Plate
In this video I demonstrate how to use a Badger airbrush single action gun, model 350 with a heavy duty tip, to spray an aquatint resist to a copper plate (using Lascaux Aquatint Spray Resist #2095). The video also demonstrates clean up of the Badger airbrush single action gun. Wikipedia has a good explanation of the aquatint etching process.

In this video I take you through the steps to expose one pre-treated piece of cyanotype fabric to multiple layers at one time. The transparency film is used to layer objects. Each layer - as each stacks one upon the other - is further away from the cyanotype fabric creating softer edges and larger cast shadows. The effect is quite interesting.

Where can I buy the polyester plate
Hi! I’m using cyanotype paper and found that the only things creating an image were directly placed on the paper - but shadows would completely wash away when rinsed. Any troubleshooting tips?
Maybe try something more porous like a natural fabric

Where do you get the enamel from and is it available as a kind of powder? Please also specify the mixing ratio
I purchase the oil based enamel paint from a home supply company or hardware store - no powder version available. You can play with the mix ratio (enamel to shellac): 1:1 is a good place to start.
