I have a doubt, when you zeroing you use the first SpecCheck vial... the most transparent... but when you read at tap water you don´t use the sample water to establish zero...(note, manual says literally: "Fill 10 ml cell with sample (the blank). Cap")...dont talk about zeroing with the SpecChek..... even just sample water for zeroing.

seriously, this kit is used in only disasters. Your full of it, this kit is to be used to monitor your cl2 residuals in the distribution system. Quit your videos and do some research before you screw with new operators heads. worthless video!!!

The tested water has zero free chlorine. In the presence of a true free residual, dpd turns pink instantly. The water that was tested has not reached breakpoint chlorination. I'd guess it is feeding a weak monochlorimine residual. On this side of the chlorine curve free dpd will lie. It will approach the total residual the longer you hold it.

I think that i can answer the question asked just below me: When zeroing out the chlorimeter you only zero it out using the blue button displaying "0". When you are trying to or you are ready to read a sample via measure water quality in your field, then you would press the check that activates the read only portion of the meter. My question to the manufacture is regarding the (Tribidity Meter): Dear Sirs; I have an older tribidity meter that when pressing stabelizing it will read out #####.
