It's now starting transition to dry season so there will be dry and rainy days for some weeks

Last week was incredibly tough for Costaricans, where I live there was no way to go anywhere due to the flooding and the extreme rain. Thank goodness things are getting better and the sun is shining as the dry season arrives

Hola Señor Ed. Well you’re right it is trending dryer and we will be well into the Summer in a few weeks. Bring and slap on the sunscreen if you’re coming. This area, being closer to the equator it is much more intense than it would be in most of North America and Europe. You know I like my weather forecasts and soon there will be little to forecast here besides hot, clear and sunny 🌞 with a 10% chance of evening rains mostly in the mountainous areas of Costa Rica, and gorgeous nightly sunsets. So relax, tranquilo, and the whole country awaits the upcoming busy tourist season.

Hola Señor Ed, buenos días. On a semi sunny 🌤️ morning in Uvita. I drove over that bridge last night just before sundown (not that you could see it) during our tropical downpour last night, and I’ve never seen that river so full, from river bank to river bank, rushing really fast and so full of mud and debris. We’re not out of woods yet with these nightly downpour systems it looks like. The daytime is really not to bad, sun and a few clouds, so get out there and try to enjoy it, or as you showed, it makes getting to work or where you have to be so much easier without the rain. Best of luck 🍀 with you UDA today, sounds ambitious.

Hola Señor Ed, buenas tardes. All excellent advice, heed the warnings about driving and the night driving regardless of rain or shine. Muy pelegroso! ⚠️ Well I’m late to the comments today for the appearance of El Sol 🌞 in Costa Rica. Such an amazing sight to see after all of this time. There were photos and videos flooding the Social Media sites here today. People were so joyful and out driving around going to the beaches as well. As did I well before noon. 😎 It was like we were all thrown into another Universe that was hard for anyone, local or foreigner to comprehend. Yes we may be coming to the end of our rains for a while. I do suspect we will see some nightly rains as usual, and because of the heat of the Sun and all the moisture in the soil. I’m curious to see from our rain stats guy in Ventanas, what are final total will be this month. Anyway I had a wonderful day driving to Ojachal and checking out the market, the Mexican restaurant and a few other local stores. So pleasant to be in Costa Rica today. 😊

Good video, we are Canadian tourists who enjoyed Costa Rica for the first time. We were hit by this massive rain (Nov 8-13). Although it was cool to see soo much water falling from the clouds, we were limited in things we could safely do in Uvita. We would have loved to walk on the beach under the rain, but we felt unsafe to walk the paths leading to the beaches, mostly because all the small rivers heading towards the ocean were flooded and we fear the unknown to us -- the crocodiles. We know how to behave if you see a Grizzly bear to increase your chance of survival, but we have no clue what to do if you see a crocodile. We will be back under a better sky lol. Thank you for suggesting the mangroves boat tour -- it was amazing! Pura Vida!!!!

The Liberia airport is shutdown for repairs! In Montezuma it has been slowly dwindling, but still rains everyday, 50% of the time

Watch the news here. Cruz Roja, the Bombero firefighters and Policia Fuerza & Transito and locals have done an incredible job clearing areas and helping with evacuations. La Niña is ending this winter with hardships for many. Vets and locals are taking food to starving animals. The people in Costa Rica stand strong with the service and generosity from many!🙏👏 Pura Vida💜

I saw some footage from the floodings and all and we've had that here in Austria too. You can't predict or influence the weather! And I'll be in Uvita on December 1st!

Here to give you a view and a like! Keep up the good work Ed!! The rain has been so crazy there, they closed Liberia airport and the highway.

Ironically , after staying up late last night editing this Saturday night, Sunday morning we woke up to a beautiful Blue Sky here in Uvita this morning🌞

We are good here in Nuevo Arenal. Its beautiful and the volcano is out in full clear view. We have had 20MPH winds and rain in the afternoon. Thinking about everyone on the coast. It is crazy.

Big shout out to the all the firefighters in Costa Rica, they work their Butt off.
