This channel promotes my activities as a professional Argentine tango & folklore violinist and music educator & storyteller. I will be exploring many different aspects of Argentine music culture which includes the history, the geography, the many influences from other music cultures, and help create better awareness and understanding of the amazing richness of this culture. I will also include how tango & folklore exist within the UK, looking to develop networks and knowledge and build a community of musicians/music lovers around these genres.

"You have to be a lot lighter on your feet, and the dance steps are different too" 🤣🤣 Have you heard The Desert Music by Steve Reich? He uses a siren effect in the strings, the violas, I believe. I didn't know what it was until I saw the score. It's amazing.

The techniques are so clearly demonstrated that I can just picture how I can incorporate them into what I am writing right now. I have seen some comments asking for notation examples. Hi many thanks! Mostly play at milongas in a quartet formation with piano, bando, bass and violin but somtimes as a duo yes! What instrument do you play? Are you looking for violin duos or bandoneon and violin duos?
@@CarolinePearsallThanks for answer! :) Mostly I play on keys, have little skills on guitar and flutes... but I fancinated with idea to make live sound to our tango-evenings 😁 maybe I start to master bando or something like this... If I'm not mistaken, you have some compositions with violin and bandoneon, don't you?)
