Easy fix for a Vacuum Powerhead that is Spitting out Debris
Have you used any of the new Vaculine fittings recently? The old injection mold tools wore out, so they changed them, less plastic, you can stomp and shatter brand new fittings :/
I was looking at a £45 replacement, not now!! Thank you
When I put the vacuum hose in the wall, it works, but when I tried the switch to make it more powerful (it used to), it no longer switches on in that regard. More or less, it vacuums, but I don’t actually have to plug the plug itself into the wall anymore because that function does not work anymore. Not sure what has changed.
Thanks!
Great, showed me how to fix electrolux hose, Thank you!!
Glad we were able to help!
The cansweep is what I have
Firmly grasp it in your hand -Patrick
I put some light pressure on the top of the Sweep N Groom with my foot ---- if it stalls out easily --- time for a belt.
Thank you for this. I watched it and found the solution to my problem.
We have med pile??
I have suction as high as will go but still hard to push. It is a shark navigator??
Is this motor reversible so it could be a blower?
@@Petrochemtester it's not reversible, but it can indeed be used as a blower simply by connecting to the exhaust horn. One caution, since these motors are made for suction, they won't tolerate a lot of back pressure on the exhaust if the motor isn't bolted down. Even so, this should be used for a high volume and lower pressure blowing application.
@@Centvac Would you have a model that you would recommend that would put out around 140 CFM and 180" water column? I'm not sure if the inverse of vacuum to suction equals the same WC reading? Trying to blow swimming pool lines out by building a bullet proof blower.
Thank you..solved my problem!
Good tips and nice approach. One other thing that I learned is that the contacts inside of the wall inlet can get oxidized, especially if in a less-frequently used inlet. I was getting no service in my upstairs inlet (less used) when plugging in the hose, yet the hose worked in other outlets. Was just about to order a new wall inlet but quickly cleaned the two small metal contacts in the upper portion of the inlet with a little alcohol on a paper towel. Let dry for 10 minutes and back in business.
my wife vacuumed up a dildo by accident. she was embarrassed, didn't wanna call someone out. so guess who had to fix it.
My receiver and transmitter are connecting (green lights come on together when handle is toggled on), and canister will work if I press the power button on it, but it won't come on when I toggle the handle on. All plugs and cables look to be connected. Just stopped working one day. Suggestions?
Try touching a piece of metal across the two low voltage signal wires that go between the receiver and your canister. If that doesn't turn the canister on, I would suspect the canister's relay board needs to be replaced.
@@Centvac will try, thanks!
EAT YER HEART OUT RUMBA TYPE "VACUUM" CLEANERS ! Those stupid sweepers leave all the deep sand & dirt in your carpets, causing premature wear! But jump,on the STUPID TRAIN & buy a vacuum cleaner that CANT Vacuum! How many millions of idiots have j7mped on that dummy train! Vacuflo, Central Vacuum Cleaning Systems! TRUE Cyclonic Separation! With a HUGE Motor sucking the crap outta yer carpets!
Where does the Handle with the controls go??
@@mikemackenzie3382 any convenient spot like a cabinet or closet. I like to have one on each floor, plus one in the garage.
I always wondered why Eureka didnt put a cogged belt on these.
Belt sales..... Millions of belt sales.
I have this same unit. I found a small LED bulb with a candelabra base that allows replacement of the short-lived incandescent bulb with use of a bayonette/candelabra adapter. Then I put some more reflective tape behind it. Works great. The other thing, my vacuum repair guy told me about, is, once the belt is removed, take a piece of chalk, turn on the motor, and rub the chalk on the motor spindle, which removes residue and so makes the new belt grip better.
These clean so good, they're worth keeping. I also use Kirby knurled belts.
I had that power head on a sanitaire canister many years ago, honestly they clean so good, if you can fix it, always fix it instead of buying a new one, unless you're upgrading to like a EBK360, zero reason to upgrade!
Do you have parts for a Braum central vacuum?
@@deborahteague439 yes we do! Email us at justcentralvacs@gmail.com and let us know how we can help. Thanks for watching!
Brings back memories of my installation days! Great Owen!
Wow easy money!! Now hopefully my vacuum has those features😩
Might I ask: you seem to really like the 45° fittings, whats wrong with sweep-tees?
Great question! The sweep tees are acceptable but I prefer the 45 wyes because they are a more versatile fitting and also provide a more gentle entry angle for the branch line. On commercial jobs and retractable installs, I would recommend using 45 wyes exclusively. For residential traditional system installs we often use the sweep tees with no problems.
@Centvac Good info! Thank you very much! I installed a traditional system back in October in my house but I'm thinking a few years down the line of switching to Hide-A-Hose and an MD Silentmaster, so this is very good knowledge to have handy.
Ha I headed over to Chameleon’s website after seeing this and saw someone familiar featured in the video on their homepage!
Someone check this guys basement, he's definitely hidin' hoes
What part number is the Ametek motor
Here's my problem with central Vacs. Most don't exhaust outside so fine particles stay in the structure. They are weak compared to a good upright vacuum. Why aren't they 220V 30A and could suck the c*ck off a rhino?
A long hose can be a bear to wrestle around the house. More and more luxury builders around here are not putting these systems in because they feel that the homeowners will just have the cleaners use a portable vacuum.
That's why we are out here trying to win hearts and minds! Without planning and forethought, owners and their hired help are doomed to using portables (all of which weigh more than a central vacuum hose). Thanks for watching!
@@Centvac Agreed. Live in Las Vegas, Needed to replace my unit after nearly 20 years. Only two places that sell central vac and that seems to be a sideline. As for as neatly homes, the homeowners aren't concerned about how heavy a portable vacuum cleaner is just as long as the house is clean. Trust me on that. I wrestle my own hoses around the house. new MD system. Old, Beam/Electrolux.
Thank you so much. I was getting stumped! I thought my control board was fried.
Really great, I have the hoover one and cracked over time. Time to replace
And one other thing, where would you place a pressure relief valve on this model considering its design?
Also, is that sound from the flexi hose they used off the top of the unit? Leaking or just because of the corrugating?
Elephant noises 😂. I hope mine doesn’t do that, though it would be entertaining
Was that post at 1:40 actually structural? Looks like a house the Three Stooges built.
Seems like so much to go wrong just to not have to move a vacuum around....
people are picky. if you paid millions of dollars for a home you'd probably be picky too. you gotta be careful with stuff, homes can be pretty fragile
@@honkerdoodles2764 I've had enough vacuum hoses get clogged that I 100% don't want hoses in the walls. I'll get an expensive vacuum for every floor before I set up hoses in the walls and have reach issues and not have effective brushes
@@asherael there is definitely a right and wrong way to design and install a built-in vacuum, to maximize performance and minimize issues. Someday you should try one of our systems...in my personal home I would never be without one. Thanks for watching!
Can I ask a really stupid question and this may be a stupid question but why are there so many access points for that central vacuum system and that one location
@@ThePrime206 just for demonstration. Only one was actually being installed in that area. Not a stupid question at all! Thanks for watching.
Thanks Owen! I sure wish your company was here in North Georgia! I’m a life long Electrolux fan and in addition to my 2 canister vacuum cleaners (which still run by the way) I have a 23 yr old central vac. Would you please post a video on how to repair the re-set button on a central vac power nozzle? N137. I’ve bought 2 now and keep the brush clean and replaced them but I feel the issue the red reset button. Can’t find any you tube videos on theirs and have watched (and 👍🏼) on every single one of your videos. Excellent job on all. Thx Shelley.

Super informative!
what is the model of the gold series central vaccum
Thanks, langsung aku cobain ternyata bisa kalo mau beli baru mahal banget😢
Thank you...90 degree trick did it for me. So I know is a switch part is gone, but hose works. Only inconvenience I have to take hose off the wall to stop suction
pretty much sold on an MD unit to replace a 20 year old Vacuflo FC520 for a 2000 sq ft house with lots of (multiple) dog pet hair, rather than replacing all the leaking hoses, accessories, and broken outlet on the cannister itself. Reluctant to put time and money into that old unit. But am confused about the range of MD units. I don''t care about the noise level, but the bottom access seems nice/convenient for the air masters. Considering your comments about keeping the motor cool and triple filtering, which of the four series do you recommend? Is the top access Flo-master still better than the bottom access? Stay with the basic "Modern Day", the "Silent Master", "Air Master", or the "Flo Master" in your superb video? Thank you!
If you can mount the unit lower on the wall to make top access convenient, I would go with Flo-Master. If it needs to stay higher up, the Air Master would be the ticket. The F650T is our go-to replacement unit for a home like yours. Please let us know if you have trouble finding one locally, we would be glad to assist.
Has some 🥚🥚😂
hahah love the little comments. Thank you for showing me how to do this. I had a pretty good idea but just wanted to be sure. I'm gonna use my warehouse floor protected with cardboard. :)
