Commercial Electrician Tool Set Up
Просмотров 54 тыс.Год назад
Hopefully this video helps you come up with your own set up and gives an idea of what tools are used or needed in the trade. I'm a 2 year apprentice and this is probably more tools that most apprentices need but I like having my own tools and not depending on others. Thank you for watching and I'll upload more helpful videos soon. #kleintools #milwaukee #milwaukeetools #packout #milwaukeepackou...
Believe it or not, your video lowkey was really useful for my set up. Thanks bro.
Did you ever get Packout feet for the vacuum? I have the same vacuum and just ordered Packout feet for them so I can slot it on the top of my tower if I need to for a job.
I love my occidental, except for its bulk sometimes. These look perfectly streamlined...Great setup!! How's the comfort on shoulder straps?
heavy strippers are 100% a lineman replacement. but only the milwaukee ones.
I did the same thing with my setup. Ordered my bags and made slight changes to the bags to suit my needs. I run the ER bag on my right, and the LT-Max on my left with the 2-side-by-side outer bags for screws, fittings and other stuff. I ended up relocating the tape chain, cut off the leather hammer loop and changed the way the belt fed through the quick release buckle. I run the handles with the shoulder straps also.
من عاشقش شدم این عالیه پسر❤
That’s a clean set up. Thank you for sharing. Subscribed.
I have Occidental Leather including a belt setup and an electrician's tote. All leather and a great set up, but Akribis has taken their design next level. I'm retired so I'll stick with what I have, but I would add in Akribis if I were still working!
I love the belt been eyeing same brand, but why do you carry everything all the time? You don’t need rough in tools when doing trim and vise versa. I know someone else who does the same thing.
I carry a lot also. I got so tired of taking shit in and out. We do something different everyday, so I just like to have the most common tools I always use in my bags all the time. We can go from a resi service call to an irrigation well for a farmer in the same day. The shoulder straps make a world of difference, and I have the handles on my belt, so I can carry my bags like a tech bag when I dont want to wear them.
I got the super belt and the es pouch coming. Cant wait to try it out.
EXCELENT TOOLS
When electricians want to look like carpenters 😂😂😂😂😂
Great customizations and demo!👊😁
Still loving the setup, I've added a few accessories and always get compliments on the the quality of the bags.
what do you use to hold material?
I bought some clip on pushes from home depot, they are the magno grip small gray pouches. They're affordable and very durable.
I assure you a man that takes pride in a hard day's work and understands the importance of having quality tools will never regret the money he has spent to perfect his trade. Drugs and alcohol have ruined so many young men and their family. Stay strong young man, hold your head high on a swivel. Work hard and love your family harder AND REMEMBER THE ONE WHO SPEAKS LESS AND SEES MORE WILL POSSES THE MOST KNOWLEDGE.
That’s a bad ass set up love the brown leather
Solid setup. 👍
Joining the union will make you worthless, literally worthless. Invest in yourself and be worth more. 😁
Should u have a digital angle finder if you use this method? Cause a 23.6 degree angle is like torqueing to 56 in-lbs without a torque wrench.
First time I've seen a calculator in a belt set-up
Dude! That's a slick setup! I'm a fan of Akribis. I've never seen that right side bag, that looks nearly perfect
Thank you! The right side bag is their ES bag (electrical standard)
@@rubioelectric3030 awesome thanks!
Have you tried suspenders? Tbh most of the time i dont need em but when Im moving a lot and using a variety of tools i regret not having it. I always have a Veto Pro Pac Tech Pac Blackout with me tho and typically just use a tool pouch for what I need at the time
Yes I have always used suspenders and they definitely distribute the weight! I'm currently looking at different veto pro pac bags for my specialty tools I don't need on me all the time.
1 min in Dope 🙏🏽🔥
Thanks for this. Just bought that pencil and high volt screwdriver set. I have the rigid packout and I will say it is just as good for a third of the price.
I use a veto mp2 and I use a leather tape measure clip on my belt to hang the pouch off. It let's it hang lower and let's the pouch move and not be stiff to your body.
Interesting ideas on modifications. If you want to work your reamer into a regular tool klein makes a attachment with a set screw. I use that in my 14mm wera black handle full tang beater. As long as the screwdriver has some flat side you can use it and it's great on your beater to save space since your gonna have one anyways. If you want a stronger clip than toughbuilt there's a company called prolock and it's all metal version. All you have to do to make the prolock clip work on toughbuilt is file down the bottom corners a little. Hope you got some ideas. I use a occidental leather commercial setup buy I added a diamondback hammer sleeve and there on the ocl beltless retro kit. I dispise belts and when you ate on the beltless system you can lean sit kneel whatever and the bags lay down on there back on the ground without spilling out also move with you. Good luck hope to see more from you on setups.
That's a great idea on the reamer beater combo I actually purchased the klein impact reamer and will definitely put a flat head bit and see how it works for me
I like your setup, also can tell your innovative in your set up. Keep up the content. Like to see a video on tools you didnt like. Like ones that were the next "big thing" usually i feel those are multi tools. Thanks keep up the good work
That's a good suggestion, definitely have those tools that did not live up to my expectations.
Glad you’re back! Missed your videos
Thank you I appreciate that! I'll be putting another tool bag video next week and I'm very excited about that one.
Appreciate the video!
Awesome tool review bro
I have a rule that I have to ask to borrow a tool 4-5 times before I buy it
why use sissors to cut mc when you have side cutters
Excuse me but you have your TV put Horizontaly or Verticaly in your house?
great video. about the pilot bit, if you can snag a piece of grid wire, cut off the end at a 45 degree angle with your dykes at any length you want and put it in your drill chuck. will go through sheetrock or even wood. i keep all different lengths in my packout and they were free!
Dude your awesome
youre*
Pits belt on falls thru floor because of the weight
It's only 25lbs of weight lol
You need to use an mc stripper. I liked seatech the best. Greenlee seemed to bulky.
Awesome video. But the tool bag hurts my back just looking at it. Haha. Lately I’ve been carrying light with combination tools.
Top tools. By eletricist 🇧🇷 Brasil look you vídeos. Good job.
Turn your phone sideways, my guy.🤣🤣
I’m a union electrician. The only thing that is needed is your basic hand tools. Contractor supplies the rest. So I don’t need to have all that stuff. Work union and you will be better off.
Bro Stfu nobody gives a shit ur union. Also some people like owning their own fucking tools. My boss personally gives us a card and I buy any tool I need or want with it and it’s mine to keep. I have a van fully stocked for sidework and I didn’t pay a dime for the tools lmao. “wOrK uNiOn yOu’lL bE bEtTeR oFf”
I'd rather be self-sufficient than have to rely on other people's equipment for my safety and efficiency
@@jlevally14 lol you obviously don’t know what a union electrician means. We have the best equipment, electricians and safety is our number 1 priority. That’s because we are the best.
@@cbdfpvdude chill
@cbdfpv5070, that's hilarious. Most union electricians I've met can't even read a simple wiring diagram. Always have to ask, "WhErE dO i LaNd My WiReS aT?" I stand by my original statement. I'd rather be self-sufficient than rely on others to provide me with what I need to work. 😂🤣
How did you switch over from LV to commercial electrician?
At Besco we do all from fiber, data, fire alarm, door access, control wiring, to 120v, 208v, 240v, 277v, 480v. Based on our skill/knowledge they allow us to do either or you can choose to only do one.
It’s like a surgeon… you buy some tools and poof Bobs your uncle‼️
Spaghetti
I'm a first year apprentice commercial electrician. Thank you for the video! I'm always trying to figure out what tools to carry and where. This was very helpful on where to start
I’m about to make a vid for commercial
I use to be just like you in my younger days, I carried dual pouches, and I crammed every tool I could find in them. I felt like this made me more productive. I found out the hard way that carrying all those tools in your bags will fuck up your back. I have found that all you really need to carry is your lineman pliers, wire stripper, multiscrewdriver and channel locks. I can put in a whole job with these basic tools. Keep the rest in your tool box and keep it close by when doing those specialty jobs.
Oh definitely don't carry my rig fully loaded I just have it like that to grab and go into a service call but when I'm wearing it I offload it and just leave what I need.
@@rubioelectric3030same
@@rubioelectric3030what’s up bro dope setup pardon my ignorance as I just started as an apprentice what do you use the flap discs for ? What are you grinding with it ? Rust and oxidation ?
@jaybadass2318 our bosses and clients like to see us bond to bare metal, if we add a grounding bar in an enclosure we buff off the paint or especially when grounding to building steel.
@@rubioelectric3030 oh I see it makes sense now thanks for the response
I have a veto sticker right there where u have it thats cool
go union papa you'll take a 1/4 of the tools to work
