2014 mustang premium v6 radio went out. Repair video (super easy fix)
Common problem with the s197 models. The cheap Chinese radios will go out and need a lil abuse to make it do what you want it to do. Work!
Only tool needed is a trim prying tool from autozone $10. The hvac Consol has 7 screws attaching the display to the dash. I don’t screw them back in as it’s a regular problem that the radio goes out. It goes out due to the cd feeder getting clogged/stuck which causes the whole radio to stall out. Tapping the bottom of the radio physically loosens it.

Yo this vid saved me a lot of money. The break down for my 2014 mustang in this vid is easy and not complicated. The only thing was ny mustsng had two screws that were holding the middle radio console together I used a 7mm like screw driver to unscrew it and it popped right off and hit ny radio and fixed as I'm typing bank you for ur knowledge for the average man!
Muchas Gracias me sirvió mucho 🫡
Just saved me a bunch of money and helped me listen to music when driving. Good video good directions easy fix. Thank you very much
Anyone know how long this lasts?
Is there a way to prevent this from happening again? I understand it works but I don’t understand why is it a loose wire in there or what?
I did this and it fixed it, actually very happy didnt even need that pry tool just took it apart with my hands and a 7mm socket holds 2 nuts underneath there.
He's right, it works. I just tried it and it was a success.
Didnt even have to take mine apart just hit the center and it worked
I have been driving my car with no audio.. ford service center asked me to change the dsp. I couldn't find one tried. It's worked.. its crazy send me your venmo.. I wanna gift you something .
Lmfao I got a 2014 mustang v6 and I’m about to put it to the test .. my shit been doing this for a week and I just found your video , thank you .
Will this work on a 2012 mustang v6? I have the same blinking time. .
This video just saved me a few hundred dollars, Radio is back to working 👏🏽👏🏽 Thank you! 💯
2 years until I search for this wow problem fixed in 15 minutes. TY
This better work. I been without music for 2 years in my mustang
After 4years I think the trick stopped working. The radio won’t come on and I have a massive dent in the radio casing from hitting it over the years😂😂😂
This worked 👍
You had Bluetooth! Mine hasnt worked since I got the car in 2018😮 Now radio is gone.
THANK YOU, it actually worked!
STILL a working fix to this day! LIFESAVER!!!
Does anybody know what causes the radio to just cut out I’ve tried the trick works every time but radio doesn’t stay working have to do this multiple times just to get music 😩
Hey does this work if my radio display is not blinking but my speakers give of nothing but static noise even when I change my input I still get static as if it’s on a bad radio station , does this fix also work for that ? The static only goes away if I mute the radio , when I have volume all the way down it still gives off static , what do I do
God bless you, saved me some $$ right here
Omg thank you 😭
Omg , thank you from switzerland 🇨🇭
Yes mines do this currently. So annoying having to do wrench tap the radio every other day. I gave up lol..plan to replace my radio asap.
Thank you bro for this video this is save me $600
what about when the display shows "MUSTANG", will this work ?
Idk what you mean
This works temporarily but mine goes back out after a couple days
Glad to help. Hit it as many times as needed. I’ve done it for last 4 yrs. share this with others who need it!
This trick worked like a charm in my 2014 Mustang!!! I was so worried about having to replace the ACM and the cost associated with it. Thanks so much!!!
It works however its not a permanent solution sadly i keep my tools in my car now so i can just slap the radio when ever it goes bad 😂
Glad to help. Hit it as many times as needed. I’ve done it for last 4 yrs. share this with others who need it!
@@bruhbruhh5103now its starting to get really annoying cuz it goes out while im driving and i have to stop the car turn it off open the door then it starts blinking then i take everything apart and slap it and its really annoying to deal with idk if there is a permanent fix
IT WORKS! If your time is flashing just spend the easy 10 minutes it takes to do this and it will be worth it. I recommend hitting it with a metal stick it wasn’t working when I used my hand but the stick did the trick
YOOO THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Highly recommend this to anyone before you do anything else. I was stuck without a radio for a year, didn’t want to spend the $700 for a Dynavin. This guy is a lifesaver
I almost did the same. Bro share this with others who need it
We’re you having the issue of it turning on and off with no ac ? My dash lights turn on sayijg my door and others are having problems but on and off it’s weird I have no ac in this 100 degree weather
Helpful 👍
Works for now, I hope it will stay working. Thank you

You are awesome didn't even need to take it apart just slap the passenger side 😂
Awesome I have music again!! Thanks
Why does this happened tho? Great video tho !!
Idk for sure but different sources I looked into say it’s either bad soldering and or a power component on the motherboard of the radio.
Did not work on my 2012 v6 preimum of course my clock is not flashing all it says is mustang
Keep trying, Hit it as many times as needed. I’ve done it for last 4 yrs. share this with others who need it!
my problem ended up being cut wires Once repaired everything worked @@bruhbruhh5103
Now no sound
Having a problem where my radio works but my phone button no longer works do u think if I was to replace the box on the inside with a new one it would fix it??
Not sure really but if you replace the front embezzle, go to Facebook market place/junk yards. You should fix the problem
I considered sending my radio to get it repaired but I tried this instead and it worked on my car. Thank you so much!
Glad to help. Hit it as many times as needed. I’ve done it for last 4 yrs. share this with others who need it!
I tried this smacked it with my hand a wrench and still nothing so either mine just messed up or idk but thanks for the video
No no, this think fucking stubborn. I wasn’t joking you have to abuse it. Hut it til it works but not break it and be mindful of the dash
If YOU DONT WANT TO TAKE OFF THE PANEL… Smack the side radio panel a few times. Until your clock stop blinking then turn on the radio. I just tried it rn and it’s back on 😂
You have to take off the first panel correct where cup holders are?
@@datboymike806bme no don’t take anything off just smack it hard as u can a few times the side where the passenger legs are at or you can hit just above the radio screen with your palm
I do that when I get mad if it goes out while driving. 50-50 but considering breaking the panel. I’d rather keep 🐴 pretty and just do the work
Where did you get the wedge
Autozone, overpriced at $20 for a 4pc set.
Super helpful video. Thank you sir. Fixed mine first try.
Cant believe this actually worked. Gj.
I said screw it ill try it... and it worked!
