Scary that there is so much trash
Hey mr beast needs to endorse trump
And to think some people will forget and devalue all the good Mr.Beast has done over an allegation that he hired a known s*x offender or whatever? How petty and fickle some people are. The amount of good done will ALWAYS outweigh the bad.
Tbh I agree with you.
This is not an effective charity.
@@shadowyzephyr No, this one definitively is. It is estimated that by 2050, there will be more plastic than fish in the ocean. If you can't see the importance of keeping the ocean clean, you are a lost cause.
Team trees planted half of what is removed in a day all of team trees efforts were erased in 12 hours
@@miniiodine That is the attitude of a small-minded defeatist. "Because bad is happening, there is no point in doing good." You think massive change happens overnight? No, it takes years, decades, possibly even centuries, but it starts with people who give a damn.

MrBeast is a bad icon for them in 2024 think he would help Remember if you team with someone if they go more stuff that could increases the waste Every donor you got Mrbeast is also one of them people who donor for more money so they can buy more unhealthy boxes so the trash you got is even less than the goal as Mrbeast waste should be added to as may people i seen that thown away Mrbeast own bars in the seas that Minus one of the seas
cool video make more
but the fight goes on so let's support all the organisations out there that do great work. start local clean-up groups. recycle, reuse. and put the word out there that this work is ongoing and someone is doing something about it . write to governments and companies to support this work, because it is time to scale up these projects and get the job done
cleans oceans but advertises cirkul 🤦♀️
is it blocked from the interceptor
And that equates to 00000000000000000000000000000.1% of the rubbish great job
That's actually only 0.1068%
14 million tons of plastic end up in the ocean every year. Congratulations for cleaning up 0.1086% of yearly trash?
So, Let's Not Clean Up Trash? That's What You're Saying.
@@ME44446 It is not sustainable to constantly clean a very tiny amount of trash while millions of tons of plastic replace what you just cleaned. This is just a way for brands like Mr Beast to make themselves look good. It is not about actually cleaning the ocean. If you wanted a clean ocean then you would want to stop the trash at the source because that is what actually matters. It is basically impossible to clean the oceans at a faster rate than trash gets thrown into them. Which means that team seas doesn't have much if any impact.
Still Saying It's Bad That They Cleaned The Ocean.
@@ME44446 When did they say that?
That's awesome, but we have to ban plastic, find alternatives and clean up the landfills, otherwise we'll forever by cleaning up oceans. It's sisyphus work if we as a species didn't change our ways, futile.
What your saying is that we should all kill our selves because we humans cause pollution ✅
ruclips.net/user/shortsCBj_EyotffU?si=UNlVrnS5uggHtgeK
So how'd this get done so effectively, especially up until this ocean cleanups lifetime total clean up was about 22million pounds as of April 2024? 34 million pounds is a lot to have gotten done. Dont mean to be negative, this is incredible news. I'm just curious as to how the cleanup grew so exponentially. Like did the donations fund hundreds of more ocean cleanup trolleys? Hundreds + of river clean up crews?
33 billion pounds of plastic enter the ocean every year.. y'all did nothing bro
An effective way to solve this would be to raise awareness and tell people to recycle properly, would have made genuine change with this many audience.
At least it did more than you can ever do in ur fucking miserable lifetime
@@GiaNgann-pz3mxon god bro won’t even get laid once in his life either prob

No Way It Takes 8 HOURS To Clean Up 34 MILLION Pounds Of Trash!
@@ME44446 no, but 34 million pounds of trash make their way into the ocean every 8 hours. And it took them almost 3 years to clean 8 hours of trash, so that barely makes a difference and maybe even turns attention away from other movements moving to stop pollution more effectively.
I love this! But we need governments to pitch in too, we can’t stop here!
What happened to the comments?

Here's A Question: How Is Removing 34 Million Pounds Of Trash From The Ocean Bad?
Yeaaaaaahhhh
Its pretty cool that they cleaned the 34 million pounds of trash dont get me wrong but thats... 15 000 tons... while 12 million tons goes into the sea every year... and that research is from 2016

People are criticising this for not being effective enough but I remember watching the video back in 2021 and not only did it make people aware of the problem but it also made people informed of what's causing the problem. The fact that they managed to prevent 8 hours worth of a global problem with only $30,000,000 shows that people can make a difference.
That is not making a difference mate. Realistically, he’s done absolutely nothing. This isn’t a problem that can be fixed by throwing money at it. Wow he told normal people to throw their money away for a helpless cause!! wow!! So brave!!! Do you find it odd that Mr Beast never mentioned that the real problem is corporations like Coca Cola that are the largest contributors to plastic pollution? Companies like these can make a difference, but instead of doing anything about that, he makes it all about himself like he’s “saving the ocean”
@@Ursi_ So should we wait until there are no more polluters before cleaning the ocean? Moreover, does he really have the ability to stop companies, such as cococola, from creating new pollution?
He did not raise awareness to protecting sea, he made the sea problem looks like something you can solve by throwing money into it.
@@cbbblue8348 Awareness means people being aware btw.
yes
mr beast is like EDP becaus-
This is awesome!
It really does nothing in the long term, it's actually bad
Come to NY. I just saw needles 💉 and condoms. And rats in the Hudson. It’s fucking gross 🤮. I picked up what I could w/ the free kayaking.
its great the trash was removed but unless we stop the trash at the source, this will be a fruitless effort. poor countries dont have the trash facilities or the knowledge to keep their areas clean. first world countries are fueled by consumerism. Anything for profit and clout- gotta be on the next big trend or be left in the dust. Think of all those stanly cups that are going to end up in the trash just because the fad ends. Fast fashion and all that plus corporate greed. The fact we have companies that OWN WATER sources and sell the water- something that is necessary for life- is absurd enough.
I bet mrbeast will come up with a more permanent solution int he future, he talked about tht one day :>
teamseas, your good at picking up trash in the beach.

Congrats everyone on working together and getting rid of only 8 hours of plastic pollution from the ocean, which will end up in landfills, which’ll blow back micro plastics back into the ocean. And especially thanks to Coca Cola, the worlds largest contributor to plastic pollution, for giving a helping hand! ❤
The plastic doesn't go to landfill. It gets recycled.

one beast scam at a time , who knows how fake is this one too
33M lbs in 3 years... that's roughly 8hours worth of the world's trash overall. on a $33M budget. I guess all they could do was $1/lb? I kind of expect more, and I'd expect beast to put more of his money into the pot considering he's front-running it. Also they struck a deal with coca cola some time ago; the worlds biggest polluter (responsible for 11% of the world's pollution singlehandedly) This one is public, but who knows what other companies paid off beast's company so they wouldn't get attacked. The whole thing seems like money laundering, I don't know.
@@Hynet1go search for the brain on the trash pile they collected from the sea cuz clearly u dropped it somewhere It takes significantly more time and effort to remove trash from the ocean than dumping into it
