Georgia and Arizona were very beautiful. Florida was stunning. The reigning Miss Universe, Barbara Palacios from Venezuela, had such an exotic, unique beauty and unforgettable charm and grace. She was WOW. And the two winners from Texas were fabulous. Those were the days.

The gesture that Bolocco did to receive Miss Venezuela was awesome, fantastic maybe never seen before in a pageant. I hope both still keeping in touch like good friends.

As much as some of the others were more beautiful than Texas, none of then would have done any better at MU. Chile had it in the bag and Italy was just too sweet.

I also wonder what happened with Miss Mississippi's scores as the night progressed. She was the #2 qualifier into the Top 11. She was 3rd in interview (which I thought was good, but her weakest segment). And then her scores were still good, but dipped for her swimsuit and evening gown, and she was a knock-out in both; so she missed the Top 5 barely. I guess the judges just liked who they liked and were locked-in.

Miss USA was there only for the sash because Miss Universe is an American Organization. She looked like she was 60 years old. Childe had the regal factor that made her the winner from the very beginning.

What a lady, miss Thailand, one of my favorites miss universe, and I'm not even a Thai.

Texas was the only with a score over 9 so she already had the advantage. I think GuyRex still owned the franchise to California and I see their delegate looked like Christie Fichtner 2.0

I didn't like California's gown, but she was beautiful. RIP Christina. Found out she died a couple of years ago.

Why am I obsessed with this year's gown competition? It's as if the wonderful music and the unique walk of each woman was pre-ordained and perfectly synched to match the flow, vibe, personality of the gown/contestant. I even enjoy looking at each fleeting moment of interaction between the contestant and her escort, the contestant and the judge's eyes, etc. I just love the whole thing.

They should make Ryan Seacrest their permanent emcee
