Upriver to a traditional FIJIAN Village in the 60's #Fiji #fijitourism #fijian #fijiislands
In the 60's there was a traditional FIJIAN village called NAKAMAKAMA.
It was located up a remote river.
The only way to access this village was through a perilous journey upriver.
This footage was taken by my Father on one of his many visits to Fiji.
Sadly today, the village does not exist anymore and nor can any information be found to explain its disappearance

Final resting place of the PS MYAT YADANA on the banks of the Irrawaddy River Myanmar. Originally built in 1946 as the Minthamee by Yarrow & Co of Glasgow, she was shipped to Yangon in 3 pieces and assembled there on the banks of the Irrawaddy river. She is no longer in service ( locals say "is broken") and rests forlornly on the Banks of the Irrawaddy River.

ORIGINAL KOROLEVU RESORT - CORAL COAST - FIJI

The Coral Coasts first resort was situated at Korolevu. Ruins are still there to this day. It also had its own airstrip across the road which the jungle has long since reclaimed. However, the control tower and shops are still there on the main road opposite the resort entrance, but in a sad state! Its heyday was in the 50's 60's and 70's and was the first of its kind in the world. I remember as...

This is by far the most impressive surf footage I’ve seen on RUclips since Laird Hamilton towed into that massive wave at teahupoo. There’s only two men that could probably tackle this wave. @jamie O’Brien and Ben Gravy orrrrrrr will it be @Koa Rothman and Nathan Florence. The race is on, LETS GOOOOOOOOOOI!!!
