Join us on the trip to D&H RV and Marine in Apex, NC as we pickup the Cirrus 620 Truck Camper
This camper is beautiful. It has a toilet and outdoor shower, all you need! It’s not big and bulky and you can still keep your tailgate open for a porch. ❤It’s so sharp, sleek and lovely. 🥰
Update, like it?
Do the truck campers need some sort of licensing and registration 2 or is it just going to be the registration plates on your truck.
That stargazer window above the bed strong enough to stop any rocks or the breeze that hit it when you're following another vehicle..or will it break?
I havent had a problems with roks. I did have to have it resealed but that had been a know problem from NuCamp.
VERY ❤ Nice, but the first thing I would do is install an awning on the back where it would be more useful. 😊
Weeeeeeeeeeeee😂❤
I have been looking at these for awhile, since the 620 first came out. Your set up is exactly what I want including colors. Love that gray, getting away from the white. It looks great on the dark truck. Hope to get mine later this coming spring time. Learned a lot from your video with this tour. Thank you for sharing. Look forward to watching your adventures in it. 🤗♌️
I am truly happy this help. It's the reason to share the things we like about the products we use!!!
I’m waiting for the remodeled 920 to come out and then I’m buying !
I saw one of the prototypes being built while touring NuCamp facility.
Ford F150 5.0 TiVCT V8 or the F150 3.5 Ecoboost V6
I would go with a RAM. In alreality its a tough decision based on what you want out of the engine, torque, gas milage etc....Sorry I wasn't definative!
Price?
I paid about 48K. You can get them now between 37-48K through D&H Marine in Apex NC. I have attached the link: www.dhrvcenter.com/
I love my 620 but it exceeds all half ton cargo limits. I think a F-150 could handle the 620 on flat terrain, but still put sufficient stress on the truck to wear it out soon than it should. If there are ANY climbs involved a F-250 is required. This is too bad, I think NuCamp is somewhat deceptive in marketing the 620 as suitable for a half-ton and, after lots of searching, I could NOT find a half-ton truck rated to carry the 620 at wet weight, outfitted with food, pots&pans, bicycles and - of course - people and dogs in the truck. It’s a good little camper but be prepared to purchase a 3/4 ton truck if you go anywhere with mountains.
I too find that the 1500/150s reach GVW with all. I originally had purchaed it forthe ram 1500. I exceed the GVW by 00 pounds with the larger wheels and tires, rock sliders and all the gear even with air bags it was pushing it.. Bought a silverado 2500 duramax and dont even feel the 620.
Almost all truck camper salesmen do this. YES, all of these campers are heavy. I have a 3500 dually and was reluctant about buying a Lance 975, even though they said wet weight is 41 hundred pounds while my payload is 5200 pounds, I can carry that camper but it's heavy. PLUS I have factory air bags.
Is the insulation fiberglass or styrofoam?
My understanding is it is a sandwiched foam between the fiberglass inner and outer sides.
It has a foam core sandwiched between fiberglass/Azdel
@@horsetrader1991 The frame is aluminium with a foam core and fiberglass/azdel skin.
yes
How hard is it to do front and back tie downs?
I find it relatively easy with practice....the Silverado has three connect point on the corners of the bed. I asked the Tech at NuCamp which I should connect to. He stated the lowest. Regarding the straps, what was told to me is you tighten them down guitar string tight....
What do you think the actual ready to go camping weight is? Great setup and congrats
I would add 750-800 lbs. About 2500lbs...Thank you !
Great video! I like the upgrades you did.
Thank you very much!!!
I bet that truck doesn't even notice the camper, nice setup.
Don't even know its there!
