PEQUETREN MODEL TRAINS RUNNING
Просмотров 2862 года назад
Pequetren toy model trains are made in Spain. They are battery powered and approximately HO scale. Track is a plateway where the un-flanged wheels of the loco and wagons run. Shown here are two sets I bought in Spain a t different times. An unique feature of these Pequetren models is their partial tin plate construction. At one time this was a common construction system for models of all types,...

In 1986 the British round of the European Motorcycle Emduro Championship was held at Bordon in Hampshire. Present was the MZ team from East Germany and members of the UK MZ Riders Club went to cheer them on. This is an 8mm film of the event.
Dogbone Tramway Test Track

With tighter than normal curves this simple continuous track is to test two and three rail variations of street car and urban rail models. It can also be used for narrow gauge at a large scale.

When I started work in Leeds I was in an office with a guy who had just started building his own 2 feet gauge railway. It was situated at Kirkstall Abbey a couple of miles from Leeds centre. Over the years i visited a few time photographing and filming various activities. This film is all the Standard 8mm colour film I took. There is is no real sound, it was clockwork silent camera so the music...
TEE Express battery powered model train
Просмотров 1194 года назад
Gauge Z0 1/60 scale basic battery model based on European TEE diesel train from the 1960s. Loco end is reasonably realistic but coaches seem to be based on those used in hot climates. Runs off 2 AA batteries so limited power. Nees to be a flat surface.

Z0 Steam Loco & Four Coaches
Просмотров 294 года назад
One of my collection Z0 gauge battery locomotives. "Zwischen-Null" (between O) from Germany in the 1950s and suspect it reached China via East Germany. Scale 1/60 gauge 24mm. Only one axle is driven by a small motor running off 2 AA batteries, amd powering lights and noise generator as well. Coaches seem to be a standard hot country design.

MZ RIDERS - HAY ON WYE 1980s

In the 1980s and beyond the MZ Riders club regularly held a camp early in the year at Hay on Wye. The light covering of snow was obviously a late offering that year.

Kodak ceased processing Kodachrome around 2005. These films were taken a little before that date. These movies were filmed early in the 21st century.
MZ RIDERS HAWES PHOTO RALLY 1984

This rally was held under the pretext of gaining some decent pictures for the club stand at the BMF Rally later in the year. In this context it worked.

Bredgar and Wormshill Narrow Gauge Railway
No way. Both Paul and Graham taught me to ride. Damn. Paul was harder. Mz. They were a bugger to start. I thank them. Not riding these days. But wow. I'm 52 now and will never forget. Paul gave the Police rider's handbook. I read it. Page to page. And I knew Taff. Sparrow. Snake. Spider. Druids. From my step Bro John Lee. Thought was a c u n t. He's back at his Mum's. 172 S87LR. Because he's toothless twat. Who was big in his day. Bullied his youngest. Like a coward he is. The Druids didn't like him. Not surprised. I didn't like him either. He is a cuxt. So for all you oild cants who think it's funny to pick on the young ones coming up. No. You make monsters. And we will come back.
I'm not sure I was there that year, Jim Findley looking very happy, usually end of March and it could be very cold, great times!
I rode up from Poole in Dorset, only member from the Bristol section. Somehow got beaten for the long distance trophy by someone who lived further north than me, he obviously got lost 😂. Brings back great memories, Andy Ross on his outfit and many other faces I recognise. I've not got an MZ anymore but still riding at 62 years old and still like the more obscure bikes.
Baut endlich die mz
Is that Graham and Paul on the first 2 trail bikes?
Wish it were full screen, as the color is good and accurate for the format.
Should be; not sure what this is?
Un periodo indimenticabile
The BMF rally was huge when all the clubs supported it and it supported it and it supported them. Then it went commercial and is now dead.
MZ und SIMSON absolute top Werksfahrer war eine schöne Zeit damals wenn MZ und SIMSON ankamen der Motorsound war einmalig
Good one silectric! A elegant solution.
All this footage is way before my time, but I loved visiting the ALR in the 90s and early 00s as a kid. It's such a shame that the railway was torn down following Peter Lowe's passing. As a train loving Yorkshireman, if I ever win the lottery I'm putting in a bid with Leeds Council to rebuild the ALR!
Unsere DDR Fahrzeuge waren doch auch sehr gut, und die Piloten haben was geleistet Respekt 👌
I have just attended an MZ rally in mid Wales... in December.. Its nice to see people enjoying themselves with their machines back then as they do today! Nothing much has changed by the looks of it apart from the age of the bikes. thanks for uploading
Das wahren sehr schöne Zeiten DDR Simson & MZ 👌🍀
Very nice document! Makes me want to buy an ETZ 250… sometime!
Realy? These factory Bikes (Simson /MZ) are completly different to the serial Bikes you can buy (at this time). Crankcase and gearbox made of magnesium alloy(casted in ČSSR/machined in GDR/MZ!!!), dry clutch at gearbox input (instead wet clutch on the crankshaft)... In the GDR until '89 you can't buy such a Enduro! All the young boys want it to have, especially after September '87"Six Days" Jelenia Gora/Poland... It was only a unreal dream... I was there in' 87... Unforgettable!!! 😎
I remember these bikes from back in the day and coming from Sheffield, I had a front row seat. I never owned one, but today I would.
The best of MZ and Simson, very nice memories. Many Thanks.
Thank you! Really historical! Good old times! Are there still MZs in UK?
Hundreds, and prices are going up!?
@@silectric Oh, really! I didn't expect that! Here in E Germany you can find a few in the MZ area! Yes the prices are phantasy.
What a great little vid many thanks for up loading! Just goes to show what a eclectic mix the MZ club has always been and may it long remain so. Looking at the sidecars I think the Trophy/Isoelastic /rider are still going well and in the Staffs section and the black BMW outfit had Difazio front end etc as the owner had only one arm. There were several interesting articles in the wonderful Motorcycle Sport re the owners adventures in the uk/continent including the Moto Piston rally in Spain.
Those were the days :-) I, or my bike, don't put in an appearance til about 2:20
I liked that - It brought back memories of the PW when I did it first in 1969.
I asked Andy steadman if he new the year,he didn't know the year but said he enjoyed the majorettes.
This is FANTASTIC!
Brilliant, we need to get that procession back to what it used to be!
Just a shame i never got chance to visit this line.
Amazing contents!
An excellent reminder of our yesteryears, made all the better with the inclusion of the handsome chap around the 1:10 mark on the ES250/2!
Excellent
I love it, seems like a lifetime ago.
Can anyone put the year to it.
Thanks for sharing again Dave. I watched it from end to end. I wonder where all those bikes and riders-and tents are now.
Great Views
Any way to contact seller? I'll buy.
It was in the late 1980s, early 90s sometime. Bought by a preservation line if I am not mistaken.
Chutia h kya?
I must get around to finishing it off.
Technically the christmas loco is On30! Give it a DIY pair of side tanks and a grimy coat of paint and you got a narrow gauge wood burning american tank locomotive! that would be good on a small oval logging railroad!
hi how did you get it on to A4?
With a bit of effort. I think it is decent PECO track and it did not spring out!!
This stuff is still being sold throughout Germany in discount shops . Its certainly cheap and who knows what kitbashing could do ?
I'd say the concept works!
It is clockwork. Did not have a key at the time. Rubber tired wheel on side of motor was used for winding.
does this need to be wound up or does it windup itself (two springs basicly winding each other while travel)
It probably was. I doubt if there were any other narrow gauge railways around. I think this was filmed in the early 1980s. I worked with the guy who ran the Kirkstall Abbey railway. I lived nearby at the time but it was the only time I saw it running, as he sold it off. Loco is no doubt still around somewhere. Bates lake comes to mind, but I am no expert on the narrow gauge scene.
I'm not sure if this is the same place but I recall in the early 1980s myself and some friends discovered some narrow gauge railway lines running alongside the edge of Brow Woods just on the outskirts of Morley at Howden Clough. This could be the same location.
Hi, I look forward to some detail showing the collectors, some detail of their attachment to the chassis, wiring, insulation, etc. Regards Rod Sadgrove
Edited the film so it is shorter with better transitions.
It was a good show, thanks for poistng the video.
I liked this stove too- but I wish it was all hard anodized aluminum. The non stick frying pan gets dinged up easily with use though. Overall really easy to use and reasonably priced.
Any passengers in that tram would be feeling quite ill methinks. :-)

I like this stove. I just cooked with mine this morning.
@rojamesw3593 - well spotted - local problem - we had a 'traidcraft' fare recently in the church hall!
