John didn't spend 6 months in jail for overstaying. That's what they all say. Probably drugs related. And they are not going to hold him an extra month for not paying the 2K baht. He will be deported. Then he probably takes a flight to Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar and crossers the Thai border again. Police made a quick 1800 pound in the other case. They will drink tea for a long time. But at the other hand they did their job. Report the same thing in London and police will file a report and do nothing about it.

Hi love the show , I was with Paul in the priory , I was 19 years old at the time, from Scotland , we had the same addiction, I meet Paul in the smoke room and we got on right away , he was going to Japan with the mondays , he was away for two weeks , the legend that he is , he came back to see me in the priory brought me cigarettes from Japan and then arranged for me to leave the rehab with Paul , he took me round Manchester in a little Volvo with pop up lights , then took me to my fist meeting in moss side, he was a great lad , I am now 44 years old , clean for 20 years , and three beautiful kids, thank you Paul,

Wow what an amazing episode I've got a bit behind I watching lately but enjoy watching every episode. This episode was one of my favourites as I'm a big fan of FU and was lucky to see them live. Them and the mondays were /are my 2 favourite bands of the era. John was absolutely amazing so humble and honest and so insightful really feel for him. These podcasts are so amazing emotional funny educational helpful inspiring I've been moved to tears many times. I'm sure they are a great help to many people .Thank you so much Angelia and family for what you are doing . Your all amazing much love from me xxx

The bassist in my old band sent peter hook a myspace message around 15 years ago asking for advise for our first gig (not sure what he expected!) But hooky replied almost instantly and said something along the lines of " Do what we did and fight the audiance" ...one of the most influential bassists of all time out of 2 of the most influential bands and he still took the time to reply to a bunch of nobodys and wish them well...a genuine legendary person , last of a dying breed....

I just want to thank you Angela, & the wonderful Chico for this amazing series 👏 To say it has been a roller coaster of emotions would be an understatement! You are such a strong, driven lady Angela! - with a beautiful heart ❤ & spirit & a wicked sense of humour & wit! I could write an essay on how this series has touched me! This is the best video yet, it was like all the clips were new. Masterfull editing by Chico. Angela is actually quite a hard hitting, no compromise interviewer but she’s so subtle, warm, lovely and genuine that you hardly notice that ‘she’s pulling no punches’. This is what has kept us all hooked in for well over a year now.
