@@hugolafhugolaf Thank you, it’s one of the scary parts about owning a business. It is also one of the necessary parts to making money and being successful. Thanks for watching!
@@Freedomfabrication777 Same in the service business. Gotta hire pricier staff, buy better equipment, all in the name of providing a better service to the client. Paying through the nose for firewalls and IT safeties is insulting, but if our data gets hijacked, we're worth nothing... So at the end of the day, we do what we gotta do. Hopefully you recoup that investment fast! Best of luck (even though it's not luck, it's hard work, but you get my drift).
Fantastic addition to your arsenal! You don’t mention it and it’s none of our business but, I would like to applaud your wife’s apparent ability to trust your decisions to reinvest in your business. That brake, along with everything else in your shop is no small investment and a man and wife pulling together towards a common goal is a huge asset to success that needs to be acknowledged. As for not having time to video everything when you’re busy, I don’t know how you have time to video anything and I appreciate the content that you do take time to put out.
@@williamthomas9463 You couldn’t be more correct! Every once in a while someone asks me what advice I have for a young person starting out that wants to start their own business. One of the first things I tell them is be very careful and smart about who you Marry. It is absolutely necessary to have a spouse that supports your goals and ambitions, and believes in you. If you don’t have that, you won’t make it very far. Starting a business isn’t easy, especially with a family, but you have to be with someone who has a certain level of willingness to take some risk. As you can see, I married an amazing woman, who supports me in my wild business endeavors, and is a nurturer to me and my children. This is getting extremely rare to find in my opinion. You bring up a very good point, and I will be sure to mention this again in a future video. Thanks for the input and thank you for watching!
@@Freedomfabrication777 You’re welcome. I’m saying this as someone who didn’t have my wife’s support 23 years ago. I do, however, have it now but it was an uphill battle for many years as she didn’t come from a self employed background and had no tolerance for risk. Be blessed.
@@williamthomas9463 I can see how that would be hard having a background with no self employment exposure. Glad to hear you have it now. I have been married long enough to know that marriage is one of those things that also requires work and dedication to make it healthy and successful. Glad to hear you’ve pushed through. God bless you and your family.

@@Freedomfabrication777 it's going to save you so much time for sure! About 10 years ago I worked for an outfit that bought a huge brake that had a similar program, I wish I could remember how many ton it was for it. Needless to say at that time we were braking full 5' x 10' x 1/4" with ease and able to do 4'x8'x 1/2" to at best 88° bends (which is close enough for maximum 2" flange! Lol) making cross members for what ever frame work we needed. Definitely impressive to say the least. Again thank you for sharing.

Brother have y'all never heard of 309l stainless rod? Much more available and works great for what you're doing. But, who am I? Been welding for over 30 years, and have welded a good bit of cast iron, grey iron, and ductile iron. White cast is simply not weldable. There's a book for about $15 by Lincoln called Metals and How to weld them. I learned alot from it. My welding instructor showed us that and wm graves blue book. Said every welder should have them both. They're both on Amazon. God bless.
Looks like the amps are to high. I was just reading up on the electrode and it recommends 70-100 amps for 1/8. It probably why your getting the spatter and the funky arc.

Your videos are great and you do a really good job but man i wish you'd use respiratory protection with that rod. Probably lots of nickel and other nasty stuff. Lots of smoke going into your hood. Just thinking of you guys health
I love how confident Bridger is at reading a tape measure you would not believe how many groan men comes in suppose to be welders that can't read a tape measure that's one of the first test I give welders now is to see if they can read a tape, and what's bad is they don't teach kids in grade school how to read a ruler

Chatter and parting tools will be the death of me. Or should i say death of inserts lol. An old trick is to add mass to the part thats chattering. If you can hoseclamp some mass to your part you bring down the resonant frequency and it can sometimes save your ass. Same with sticking a magnet to a boring bar it brings down the resonant frequency

Nice job on the repair. If I would have known you were looking for some 312L I could have fronted you a stick or two as I have some on hand at my shop. I use both 312L and 309L for welding dissimilar metals quite a bit. I'm just north near Ogden. I just repaired a 1938 Farmall F12 tractor hub/wheel a couple weeks ago for a client, but I used UTP Ni-55 rod. I knocked the flux off the rod and made a couple root passes using TIG method after pre-heating to around 450-degrees and pinged using a needle scaler intermittently. I then used a cover weave pass of 309L to blend out and flatten down, followed by a slow cooling and wrapped in a welding blanket. Keep the videos coming. Mike
