I didn't know The Prince had a RUclips Channel. Prince Naseem Hamed is one of my favorite boxers of all time. He was a great showman and made boxing FUN to watch again. Even the fight with Barrera was a damn good fight, and Barrera was great as well.

Amazing interview with Naz & Gary , both a bit older than the heyday ! Naz was massive before the social media generation came along . This is a interview that is needs to be watched by all Naz fans from his era

Prince Naseem was the most talented and entertaining fighter of his generation. I watched his fight against Barrera and I kinda felt bad for him . Too bad he was too cocky and didn’t take Barrera too seriously. That fight broke his spirit and he never recovered from it. Either way my respect to him 🙏🙏😊

There’s nothing like Naz these days boxing is on its ass! He was the full package inside and outside the ring just a shame the hunger left him even after barrera he still had a good few years in him although by then the money he made changed him and he couldn’t get up for it one of the best British fighters of all time imo unique style power reflexes

I love Naz and everything but that weight cut story for the Barrera fight is bullshit. There was a British documentary that followed him around for 7 weeks before the fight and he wasn't overweight at all. Definitely not 2 stones anyway. He lost because his prep wasnt great (as per the documentary) he had a new trainer who tried to change his style, but most of all, Barrera was just a fantastic fighter who had his number.

The fact that he put himself through all of that and still lasted all 12 rounds without getting knocked out is incredible. These are not excuses. It's just a factual explanation. Naseem at his best woulda crushed Barrera. Why didn't he take the rematch you ask? He just didn't have the motivation anymore and didn't sustain the greatness from his youth. But, he was definitely the better fighter when he was in his best condition.

He's still arrogant. It's too bad he didn't ask for a rematch against Barrera, he would have gotten knocked out the second time round. Also, while a very talented fighter, he cannot be considered one of the greatest, because after the loss he fought some hambone, then retired. A great fighter would have come back to regain his titles. Incredible power though.
