that oil leak must be pretty serious if you are no where near the motor and are filthy from the beginning... lol

There are groves on the inside of the vents that can be pushed with a flat head screw driver to remove and stop any chance from breaking any of the original clips.

PROTIP, dont faff with the rope pulling the vents, just insert two allen keys thought the vent , turn 90 and pull gently till it pops.

Jesus Christ. Just use a pair of pliers and grab the center of the air vents. that was fucking violent. They come out with a pretty small amount of pressure and you certainly don't have to yank em like that.

Hey how did u remove the cover from the bolt on the top of the dash, it wont come off and is the only thing holding me back from taking my dash out :/

removal and installation videos were super helpful! Turns out I am using the same .pdf guide myself but got stuck along the way when trying to disconnect the plugs on the temperature control panel. I took a break and will continue tomorrow. This video gave me more confidence to finish the job of replacing my heater core. Cheers

My dash is also "greasy" to the touch. But what concerns me the most is somehow, my mx5 leaves a smudgy / oily film on front windshield and hardtop windshield that doesn't come off unless using som cleaner. So it is not only fog. Can this be a heater core leak or likely extreme off gassing? It is winter now, but the car had sat for four years prior to me buying it some weeks ago. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

You installed the brackets backwards now the lines may slip off the bracket any moment.

Hi Jeff, great video. :) Since you have dismantled a mazda before I thought you might be able to answer this question. I need your help. I've got a MAZDA Mx5 RF and my parking ticket that placed on the dashboard fell inside in between the window and the dash. Will there be any hazards If i just leave it there? Can my ticket catch fire or ignite something? The ticket fell on the passenger seat side of the dash.

yea but if your in the north rust is a thing...cant use supports u have to weld new tubing and all that fun stuff XD

Excellent, I'd love to wrap my dash in leather too. Maybe next year's project. Your rear view mirror was a handy mod. A tip, I had my speedo cowl flocked for only £25:00. It's perfect for cutting out reflections on the 'screen and looks nice too. Thanks for posting...

someone plz respond to me. What do you think about putting a later na dash that has passenger air bag in it and deleting it. and converting that blank space into a cubby .
